Is Gabriella ready for the beauty pageant? ‘sMothered’ star gets crown ring from her mother Catherine ahead of competition
CLINTON, CONNECTICUT: It seems like Gabriella Vigorito is ready to take on the pageant world!
In a teaser clip from the latest episode of the TLC show, the 'sMothered' star can be seen all set for the beauty pageant.
During a confessional, Catherine Galasso-Vigorito said, "The hardest part about the pageant week is when we have to say goodbye."
The clip showed Catherine telling her daughter Gabriella, "I'll have my phone, I want you to text me at every turn. Don't take any other calls, stay focused, you know what you have to do."
Catherine also bought a sweet gift for her daughter Gabriella as she steps into the world of beauty pageants.
The mother of three said, "Every girl should have a little box and it has a special meaning to me because when I went to Miss USA — I want to cry again — there were so many crown rings and I couldn't afford it because I was so poor and had no money."
She got emotional as she added, "I always wanted a crown ring and I couldn't afford one so I have something for you."
Catherine was glad that she could give her daughter what she didn't have.
‘sMothered’ star Gabriella follows in the footsteps of Catherine
Gabriella wants to be a beauty pageant queen just like her mom.
While growing up, Gabriella saw her mother Catherine win the title of Miss Connecticut and now she wants to do the same. Gabriella sees her mother as "her idol."
Catherine admitted, "She's my mini-me." Gabriella added, "Imagine growing up and your mom being Miss Connecticut USA — those are some shoes to fill!"
At the moment, the primary goal of the curly-haired beauty is to win the beauty pageant and she wants her mother by her side when the big moment comes.
Gabriella declared, "When I win, she's going to come up on the stage with her crown and sash."
When did ‘sMothered’ star Catherine win the title of Miss Connecticut?
Catherine, who is a pageant queen was crowned Miss Connecticut USA in the year 1988, when she was 24.
In the past, Catherine has displayed her commitment and strong work ethic by working as an accounting professional at Clear Channel Radio for 12 years.
Keeping aside her radio career, Catherine is also an author. She published her first book titled 'The Treasure of a New You: Transformation for Your Heart and Soul' in 1998.
Since then, Catherine has written three more books, with her most recent one being 'The Open Window: 8 Weeks to Creating an Extraordinary Life', which was published in 2012.
'sMothered’ star Catherine keeps an eye on Gabriella’s every move
Catherine is well-versed in the personal as well as professional life of her daughter Gabriella.
In a previous episode, Gabriella revealed that she doesn't date because she just wants to hang out with her mom.
"She tracks me and watches every move I make," Gabriella shared.
