Is Brynn Whitfield friends with benefits with Gideon Lang-Laddie? 'RHONY' star refers to him as the 'hot cousin'
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Learning about the connections that are taking place is one of the most exciting aspects of 'The Real Housewives of New York City' Season 14, regardless of who is in the ensemble.
Brynn Whitfield's relationship with Gideon Lang-Laddie has been the subject of much speculation as people try to figure out what is going on.
In a preview clip released by Bravo for 'RHONY' Season 14 Reunion Part 2, host Andy Cohen asks, "Is there one particular reason?", digging into why they split.
Brynn addressed her three failed engagements, saying, "the thing is that all three of them proposed to me when we were broken up. My thing is, like, why do you have to lose me in order to know that you want to be with me?"
Even though Andy felt "there's something romantic about it," Brynn begged to differ.
Brynn, speaking about Gideon Lang-Laddie, said, "I know he's an amazing man. He truly is an amazing man. It just feels now like a little bit more like a hot cousin."
The comment made everyone chuckle as one housewife mumured, "not first cousin," while another said "cousin far removed."
Andy then asks Brynn, "Are you friends with benefits?" To which Brynn responds, "No."
Brynn continues, "[But] if there's one... there were definitely no problems with that area. How he is like… his penis is very proper."
When Andy seeks more clarification, she adds, "I love penises, but it's like, you know, they're like, not all, like, well-groomed."
Who is Gideon Lang-Laddie?
Gideon Lang-Laddie, a long-time New York resident, originally hails from London. His employer, The Agency, describes him as an ideal fit for their collaborative culture due to his expert negotiation abilities and his knack for building enduring relationships with both clients and colleagues.
Currently residing in Los Angeles, he is employed in the private equity sector. Furthermore, he has founded a foundation aimed at raising funds and awareness for prostate cancer research.
It's evident that he possesses a deep appreciation for and expertise in luxury automobiles and high-end real estate. So, that summarizes his background.
In her confessional, another 'RHONY' star, Erin, relayed a quote from someone who appeared to be familiar with Gideon: "Gideon. I wish she would date him. I don't know why she doesn't. He's so attractive, and he's a kind, good-looking Jewish guy."
'RHONY' star Brynn Whitfield considers freezing her egg
Brynn has openly shared her feelings about parenthood with her fellow cast members. The reality TV personality is resolute about starting a family and, as traditional methods haven't led to parenthood, she believed that egg preservation was the most suitable choice.
During episode 9 of the revamped Season 14, Brynn informed her castmates about her egg-freezing consultation and also discussed her experiences with searching for sperm donors online.
Regrettably, Brynn's cheerful attitude was not as well-received as she had hoped, and Erin Lichy accused Brynn of sharing a "weird lie."
Although the remarks were made sarcastically, it's a delicate topic for Brynn. She expressed to the 'RHONY' cast, "I want someone who wants a family. I want to be a mom." However, this conversation took place during their filming.
Brynn herself gave Women's Health the inside scoop. She informed the outlet that her judgments were not made on the spur of the moment.
"I've been thinking about it for the past two years," Brynn said.
Brynn found herself contemplating parenthood as a single woman in her mid-thirties due to her circumstances, even though it wasn't her first choice.
"It’s like this realization of, like—I know this sounds probably stupid—but like, ‘F**k, I have to do this'," Brynn remarked.
"And every time I have this thing of like, ‘I can’t believe I have to do this. This wasn’t my plan to have to do it. It becomes very real that I don't have a child yet," she said.
Brynn employed her sense of humor as a coping mechanism in dealing with her situation.
While sharing a laugh with her 'RHONY' co-stars about the egg-freezing process, she mentioned that humor helps her "conceal the fact that, deep down, I'm hurting about this."
"When I'm telling the story to the girls, I'm diluting all of that into my typical Brynn way of doing things," she said.
"And instead of just being vulnerable and crying that it upset me, I'm trying to make it funny."
For example, Brynn quipped, "If I could simply don a chicken costume and lay some eggs to store in my freezer alongside my ice cream, I would. But the process is far more complex."
Brynn has made her decisions, and she intends to undergo egg freezing during the off-season, tentatively scheduled for December 2023 or January 2024, provided her schedule allows it.
She mentioned that the costs are more reasonable at her friend's Swiss clinic during that time of year.
"I’ll try to, like, stay awake while the anesthesiologist is putting me to [sleep], I’ll be like, ‘Can’t put redheads down!’ I’ll be good," Brynn said.
