'Intrusion' : Release date, spoilers, cast and all about Netflix thriller movie

At the start of the movie we see husband and wife Henry and Meera beginning their new lives in the small town of Corrales after moving from Boston, Massachusetts into their new home Henry built for them. The couple are shown to be quite close with Henry being a caring and supportive husband to Meera. It is implied Meera is recovering from cancer with Henry looking after all her needs when she was sick before. Things seem to be going well with their new lives when danger rears its ugly head. At night after coming back from a date the couple find footprints in their house and see that the house has been broken into with their cellphones and a laptop being stolen. They are visibly worried but are glad to be safe.

Henry files a report with the town detective the next day. While there, the detective points out the house needs plumbing as the pipes make noise and also asks him why he does not have an alarm system installed, Henry replies saying he thought the town was safe. The following night when the couple is asleep the electricity goes off waking Meera who informs Henry. He goes out to check the generator while Meera waits inside when an intruder is shown behind Meera. Henry while investigating suddenly notices another person inside the house and runs to find his wife gagged and bound inside. What follows is a desperate attempt by the couple to escape. While in hiding Henry pulls out a hidden gun in the house which shocks Meera. While Meera manages to escape with her husbands help, Henry is not so lucky as the intruders grab him, dragging him inside. Meera while trying to get help enters the car, but is stunned by the sound of gunshots and fears the worst. Surprisingly one of the intruders walks out injured and is shot dead by Henry who appears from behind.

Following the experience they meet with the town detective the next day and are informed that the suspects are related to another case of a missing girl Christine. While Meera appears visibly traumatized she is shocked when Henry does not show much emotion and asks why he had a gun in the house as she disapproves of it. The couple gets new phones with location trackers in them. After an incident in which Henry acts suspicious Meera decides to sort out her confusion herself and begins to investigate and in this process finds startling evidence of Henry's connection to the suspects involved in the house invasion.

Her sleuthing leads to her being in more confusion and fear of her husband and his activities. When she confronts Henry about it all after he questions her recent whereabouts, he reveals the reasons behind all the doubts telling her about the fraud he comitted to build the house. Dylan Cobb, one of the attackers who built the house had been blackmailing him and when Henry stopped paying him, Cobb attacked them as revenge. Clearing out the air, the couple goes back to being their old happy selves and holds a houseparty.

During the house party, a police report on TV reignites Meera's doubts and she investigates Henry's office stumbling onto terrIfying secrets. Finding a hidden room in a secret basement she is horrified to find the missing girl Christine who is Cobb's daughter, bound and gagged to the pipes in chains. Meera realizes the noises she'd hear at night were made by Christine trying to escape. In a horrifying second, Henry appears behind the two women, knocking Meera out and tying her up as well. Revealed to be a psychopath from the start Henry now positively terrifying, goes upstairs to get rid of their guests making excuses about Meera. While he's away, Meera manages to escape with Christine with both of them trying to escape. Unsuccessful, Christine is dragged back down with Meera knocked out. Recovering in time, Meera ironically makes a weapon out of Henry's gift to her, returning back to strike a final blow. In his final moments, Henry reminds Meera of all the things he's done for her and asks, "Who'll take care of you?" to which she firmly replies, "I will". The end reveals the house being sold with Meera driving off to start over with her having her own back and independent.
