'Wait to see if a check appears': Internet warns Silk after Donald Trump offers to pay for Diamond's funeral
FAYETTEVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA: The memorial service for Diamond, whose legal name was Ineitha Lynnette Hardaway of the political vlogging duo Diamond and Silk on Saturday, January 21, saw Donald Trump joining the family to honor the conservative activist. There were over 150 attendees receiving patriotic programs bearing Diamond’s portrait, who died on January 8 at age 51, and a list of “Diamondisms” bearing some of her most famous catchphrases, such as “Don’t get it twisted” and “Dump the rest of those chumps and vote for Donald J Trump.”
According to The Fayetteville Observer, Diamond and her sister, "Silk" Herneitha Rochelle Hardaway Richardson, became popular on social media during Trump’s first campaign after they began to post pro-Trump videos on YouTube. Talking about Trump at the event, Silk said when she conveyed the news of Diamond's demise, Trump was heartbroken. He said, “We gonna have a nice gathering for her, nice funeral," and added, “I want you to do whatever you want. I want you to have the best whatever you want. I don’t want to worry about paying for nothing.”

However, netizens were quick to point out at the statement with one saying, "You think he’s actually going to pay." Another wrote, "Good luck in getting the money! Trump is known for not paying his bills!" One more added, "She'd better wait to see if a check appears. If it's like all his other creditors, she won't see a dime."

The slamming continued with one writing, "He will simply ask his disciples to cover the cost of all expenses and then make it look as he personally paid for it. Don the Con is in effect." An individual said, "She'll be left with the bill like every other event he's done." While one said, "It's more likely that he will sue Silk into bankruptcy if she dares to attempt to collect on his empty promises."
