NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Fox News channel host Sean Hannity is set to host a town hall featuring former President Donald Trump in Davenport, Iowa, on Tuesday, December 5, at 9 pm ET.

This comes after Hannity hosted a unique and unprecedented showdown featuring Democratic California Governor Gavin Newsom and Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

The event was marked by several tense moments as the two governors engaged in heated discussions on a range of policy issues, including abortion, crime, taxes, and the handling of the Covid-19 pandemic.

After the announcement, Hannity turned to X (formerly Twitter) to update his followers on the upcoming event with Donald Trump, offering a link for free tickets to the exclusive Town Hall.

However, the online reaction was far from positive, with several X users taking a brutal jab at the ex-POTUS, labeling Hannity a "coward."

Fox News anchor Sean Hannity took to X and wrote, “*Special Event: Trump Town Hall in Iowa! Get Your Free Tickets Now*”

Hannity’s tweet featured an article from his official website titled, “FREE TICKETS: Hannity Exclusive Town Hall With Donald Trump in Iowa!”

The 'Hannity' event is set to feature a town hall with Donald Trump, where discussions will cover the current state of America, the upcoming 2024 presidential election, and various other topics.

As Trump emerges as a prominent contender for the GOP nomination in 2024 and chooses not to participate in Republican primary debates, this upcoming town hall offers voters a direct opportunity to hear directly from him.

This event gains added significance as it precedes the pivotal 2024 Iowa Caucuses, slated for January 15, 2024.

To get free tickets, Hannity reported that the doors will open at 1.45 pm CT and will close promptly at 3.30 pm CT.

The town hall, scheduled to commence at 4 pm CT, will be broadcast on the Fox News Channel from 9 to 10 pm ET on Tuesday, December 5, 2023.

Also, Hannity, a fixture at Fox News since its inception in 1996, achieved a historic milestone by surpassing a longstanding record held by renowned talk show host Larry King in 2022.

Hannity became the longest-running primetime cable news host in television history.

Throughout his illustrious career, Hannity has conducted interviews with a diverse range of notable figures, including former President Trump, former Vice President Mike Pence, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, then-President George W. Bush, then-Vice President Dick Cheney, and former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

His interviewees also extend beyond the realm of politics to include individuals such as Sylvester Stallone, Roseanne Barr, Kim Kardashian, Mel Gibson, and Michael Moore.

Internet calls Donald Trump a ‘coward’ after Sean Hannity's town hall announcement

After Sean Hannity reported on his upcoming town hall event with Donald Trump, several X users slammed ex-POTUS.

One person wrote, “Another kiss a** interview with zero fact checking. B******t,” and another said, “Hahaha...The tickets have to be FREE. Otherwise who would attend a B.S. session by a disgraced x-president and crook like @realDonaldTrump.”

An X user simply called out Trump saying, “Can you ask him why he’s not adult enough to do a @GOP debate. No mattercwhat his lead is Republican voters need to hear his stance on policies he’d bring against the Dems and answer questions from others running. It’s kinda how democracy works.”

Another mocked Trump, “Oooh he’s gonna debate?  No no, too cowardly for that of course…” One added, "No thanks. It will be a major sleep fest after last night’s incredible debate."

One more said, “Giving away tickets and still wont be a packed house. #TrumpisFinished,” and another slammed Trump, “Town Hall for the conman who won't even show up and debate. Sad.”
