NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: In October, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) significantly surpassed the Republican National Committee (RNC) in fundraising, nearly doubling its raise.

According to the most recent Federal Election Commission (FEC) campaign filings, the DNC, led by Jaime Harrison, raised $13.1 million, while the RNC raised $7.1 million in the same period.

Following this news, Fox News anchor Laura Ingraham took to X (formerly Twitter) and called out the DNC, labeling them “plutocrats.”

However, the internet did not respond positively to Ingraham’s remark on the DNC and several X users took a brutal jibe at Republicans in response.

Laura Ingraham calls Democratic National Committee ‘plutocrats’

Fox News anchor Laura Ingraham took to X to share the news about the funds raised and wrote, “Plutocrats gonna plutocrat.”

Ingraham’s tweet featured an article from The Hill titled, “Democrats nearly double Republicans in October fundraising.”

In the article, it was reported that the Democratic National Committee outperformed its Republican National Committee in fundraising in October.

In October, the DNC, under the leadership of Jaime Harrison, expended $15.9 million, concluding the month with $17.7 million in available funds and carrying a debt of $238,000.

Meanwhile, the RNC, chaired by Ronna McDaniel, had expenditures totaling $7.3 million. At the end of the month, the RNC maintained $9.1 million in reserves but carried a debt of $2.9 million.

The fundraising trends from October mirror those of September, with the DNC raising $13.1 million compared to the RNC's $7.1 million.

In September, the DNC raised $13.3 million, while the RNC raised $6.3 million.

Looking back further, the fundraising landscape in August saw the DNC bringing in $7 million, while the RNC raised $9.7 million. July recorded the DNC raising $9.6 million, and the RNC raising $6.4 million.

These figures coincide with an escalating intensity in campaign activities as the 2024 election season approaches.

Notably, former President Donald Trump currently holds a substantial lead in GOP primary polling, hinting at a potential rematch between President Joe Biden and Trump in the 2024 election.

DNC National Press Secretary Sarafina Chitika, in a statement to The Hill, credited the substantial fundraising success to what she characterized as the GOP's "losing agenda."

She said, “The American people are watching the implosion of the Republican Party on the campaign trail and in the House every day, and then chipping in for Democrats so that we can continue to build up the operation that will reelect President Biden and Vice President Harris and elect Democrats up and down the ballot in 2024.”

“Democrats will keep speaking to voters about the issues that they care about – from affordable health care to lowering costs – and investing in the infrastructure that secured historic victories in 2022 and 2023,” Chitika added.

Internet slams Republican National Committee as DNC almost doubles funds raised by them

After Laura Ingraham reported on the DNC doubling the RNC in October fundraising, many X users shared their views on the matter and slammed Republicans.

One person wrote, “Good. I hope the GOP goes bankrupt. It’s a useless husk of an organization. It’s nothing more than a Trump mouthpiece at this point.”

Another had a similar opinion as they declared, “Wont donate to a spineless political party. They just take up space. Worthless.”

One called out Donald Trump, adding, “I'm not giving the GOP any more money until I know for a fact it will never end going to MAGA candidates. Especially Trump.”

One person took a jab at Ronna McDaniel saying, “Not giving the RNC a dime until they get rid of Ronna and start standing up for their constituents,” while another called out RNC, writing, “Not surprising. RNC is weak and feeble.”

An X user simply slammed the RNC, writing, “Sorry, I don’t want to provide funds to people who don’t know how to win elections.”
