Internet shuts down 'Morning Joe' host Joe Scarborough after he claims 'American democracy is on the line'

Joe Scarborough thinks the American democracy is facing a big threat ahead of 2024 presidential elections

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: On September 6, Joe Scarborough, Mika Brzezinski, and Willie Geist discussed the 2024 election on 'Morning Joe,' amid the fourth impeachment of Donald Trump.

On 'Morning Joe,' Scarborough pointed out that not only is the election at stake in 2024 but so is American democracy.

As Scarborough took over the segment on MSNBC, ‘Morning Joe’ quotes Scarborough on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Scarborough and 'Morning Joe' were slammed on the Internet, as users called on him to finally tell the "truth.”

Morning Joe’ quoted host Joe Scarborough in a tweet, “@JoeNBC "We have to fight back with the truth because more than an election is on the line in 2024. American democracy is on the line, and we’ve got to get it right."

Scarborough also mentioned on 'Morning Joe' that in 2005, over half the Democratic party thought “9/11 was an inside job.”

The host held his hands up and said, “That upsets you? It shouldn’t upset you any more than me telling you Donald Trump lost the election should upset you.”

Scarborough continued, “Just saying, yes it’s much worse with Donald Trump, American democracy is on the line. The party leaders have joined in on the conspiracies and the lie. All of that is true.”

“We’ve got to question initial assumptions, we’ve got to challenge ourselves, and we’ve got to fight back with the truth because more than an election is on the line in 2024,” says Scarborough.

Internet wants Joe Scarborough to speak the 'truth' 

Internet was not happy with 'Morning Joe' and host Scarborough over their stance on the 2024 elections. One person wrote, “Well…you should start with telling the Truth…”

“That’s a problem you don’t know the truth,” wrote one user.

Another user pointed out that Scarborough looked “disinterested” during the segment, “Oh good…MorningJoke is back after his 2-3 week sabbatical shopping for #4. Notice how disinterested he is. And The Facelift? Dire. They’re toast…sources who were not authorized to speak on the record say.”

One user said, “You only pedal in lies and distortion. You should never lecture us about truth. You wouldn’t recognize it if it slapped you in the face.”

People continued to ask Scarborough to tell the “truth,” “It would be nice if you would start reporting the truth, but Democrats would surely lose if you did that, so we don’t expect that to happen.”

People have also advised Scarborough as one responded, “Then cover the news and politics differently. Jesus man. #morningjoe @MSNBC.”
