NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a Democrat from California, made an announcement to the House of Representatives on Wednesday, November 1, revealing that she had received a subpoena instructing her to provide documents in connection with a criminal case in California.

The House Clerk read Pelosi's statement, which is a standard procedure when a member of the House is served with a subpoena in relation to either civil or criminal matters.

Following this event, Fox News anchor Sean Hannity took to X (formerly Twitter) to update his followers more on this news.

Moreover, Hannity’s tweet garnered several negative reactions against Pelosi as the internet brutally blasted the former House Speaker.

Fox News anchor Sean Hannity took to X and wrote, “Is Nancy in trouble?”

Hannity’s tweet featured an article from his official website titled, “NANCY SERVED: Former Speaker Subpoenaed in a Criminal Case, Announced on House Floor [WATCH].”

In the article, it was stated that the California Rep has been subpoenaed in a criminal case in her home state.

Clerk Tylease Alli read Pelosi’s statement, “This is to notify you formally pursuant to Rule 8 of the Rules of the House of Representatives, that I, the honorable Nancy Pelosi, speaker emerita, and US representative for the 11th Congressional District of California, have been served with third-party subpoenas from the prosecution and the defendant to produce documents in a criminal case in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.”

It further added, “After consultation with the Office of General Counsel, I have determined that compliance with the subpoenas is consistent with the privileges and rights of the House. To the extent it requires production of nonprivileged information, the responses to the subpoenas will be identical.”

Internet says ‘Nancy is trouble’

After Sean Hannity reported on Nancy Pelosi’s receiving a subpoena in a criminal case and questioned if “she’s in trouble”, many X users answered Fox News anchor’s question as one said, “That would be delicious.”

One more slammed Pelosi adding, “No more than usual. Give her some scotch and she'll be fine,” and another said, “I hope she's finally held accountable!!  Fat chance, but I can hope!!!”

A person simply called out Pelosi, “At the very least, she’s going to be embarrassed,” and another wrote, “She needs about 50 more subpoenas related to her activities as congresswoman and speaker, that have nothing to do with her husband's deviant trail.”

One more person trolled Pelosi saying, “Send her to prison along with most of her friends,” and another labeled, “Nancy is trouble!”
