NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Former President Donald Trump hosted a fundraiser for his longtime ally and former attorney Rudy Giuliani on Thursday night, September 7, as reported by The Hill. This fundraiser was hosted at Trump’s golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey.

On September 8, ‘Morning Joe’ host Mika Brzezinski welcomed 'The Beat' host Ari Melber, to shed some light on this move by Trump, for Giuliani.

Brzezinski, who visibly scoffed during the segment, and looked disappointed, asked Melber if this was all “really okay.”

In addition, ‘Morning Joe’ viewers have also chimed in to express their thoughts on this move made by Trump, and have wondered how much money from the fundraiser, will Trump keep.

Mika Brzezinski breaks down Donald Trump’s fundraiser

Mika Brzezinski explained details about Donald Trump’s fundraiser on ‘Morning Joe,’ “Last night, Donald Trump hosted a $100,000-a-plate fundraiser to help Rudy Giuliani pump money into his legal defense fund.”

Brzezinski talked about the “mounting expenses” faced by Rudy Giuliani, “Giuliani faces mounting expenses in several lawsuits and criminal charges tied to his efforts to overturn the 2020 election.”

In addition, Brzezinski also added, “Trump committed to hosting a second fundraiser at his Mar-a-Lago club later this year.”

‘Morning Joe’ also played a clip of an attorney, Brian Tevis, representing Giuliani in the Georgia case, who addressed the fundraiser on CNN. Trevis believes that “they're going to need” the money being raised.

Brzezinski then asked Ari Melber, “Ari, first of all, is it really okay for all of this money, by the way, from the Trump campaign, and other avenues to be raising money to defend themselves this way?”

Melber explained that one can donate and get funding for “these kinds of things.” And that legally, “that is all allowed.”

Internet questions Donald Trump’s fundraiser for Rudy Giuliani

After ‘Morning Joe’ took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share Mika Brzezinski’s report on Donald Trump’s fundraiser, the viewers had some questions.

One person asked, “How much of each $100,00 does Donald keep?” and another user questioned, “But how much of that will Trump keep for "expenses"?”

The internet is convinced that Trump will keep “most of it” as one person wrote, “Trump will pocket the money himself," and another said, "That should be illegal!'

“As if Rudy will see any of that $$," wrote one person, and another user said, “Giuliani isn’t going to see any of that money!”
