'Accept the responsibility': Internet has a field day after Fox News' Laura Ingraham slams Eric Adams' migrant crisis speech
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Eric Adams, the mayor of New York City, made his most dire prognostication yet regarding the future of the city, which is now dealing with an influx of more than 110,000 migrants since last year.
On Wednesday, September 6, Adams said during a Town Hall meeting, "Let me tell you something, New Yorkers. Never in my life have I had a problem that I did not see an ending to."
He further added, "I don't see an ending to this. I don't see an ending to this. This issue will destroy New York City. Destroy New York City."
However, on Thursday, September 7, taking note of the same, Fox News anchor Laura Ingraham took a brutal jab at Adams for not voicing his concerns to the White House.
Laura Ingraham slams Eric Adams for not voicing his opinions to White House
On X, formerly known as Twitter, Fox News anchor Laura Ingraham tweeted a recent statement by Mayor Eric Adams on “illegal immigrants.”
The tweet read, “Of course, the illegals are destroying America, but so are the rest of Biden’s policies. So why doesn’t Mayor Adams take his message to Washington, to the White House? Why doesn’t he ask to reinstate “remain in Mexico,” immediate deportations?”

Ingraham’s post featured a tweet that highlights a short clip of Adams claiming, “We’re getting ten migrants a month. One time we were just getting Venezuela. Now we get Ecuador. Now we get Russia-speaking coming through Mexico. Now we get Western Africa."
He further added, "Now we get people from all over the globe who have made their minds up that they're going to come through the southern part of the border and come into New York City.”

He concluded by stating, “I said it last year when we had 15,000. I'm telling you now with 110,000. The city we knew we were about to lose. And we're all in this together, all of us.”
Internet asks Eric Adams to accept the 'responsibility'
Internet users were quick to slam Eric Adams after his NYC migrant apocalypse warning and pointed to his tune from a year ago when he welcomed a bus full of asylum seekers and claimed to be “proud that this is a Right to Shelter state and we’re going to continue to do that", as per Daily Mail.
One wrote, “How do you like being a sanctuary city now? You asked for it,” and another added, “He offered NYC as a sanctuary. Accept the responsibility.”

A fan simply said, “Remember, this is the same guy that once said, we’re a sanctuary city or something like that.”

Another fan called Adams, “What a bad mayor,” and one shared a similar opinion, “Total lack of leadership….sad for New York.. … he should simply resign and turn the city over to a solution oriented administration.”
