'Don’t be a hypocrite': Internet drags Jessica Tarlov for labeling Joe Biden's impeachment inquiry 'lame'

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: 'The Five' host Jessica Tarlov has come under fire for calling President Joe Biden's impeachment inquiry 'lame'. 

This comes after House Speaker Kevin McCarthy ordered a formal impeachment inquiry into Biden on Tuesday, September 12. 

The impeachment inquiry will further investigate the POTUS' involvement in son Hunter Biden's foreign business dealings. 

However, Tarlov who tweeted about McCarthy's infamous move received flak with many social media users calling her a "hypocrite" in reference to impeachment attempts against Donald Trump.

Jessica Tarlov calls out Joe Biden's impeachment inquiry 

On Tuesday, September 12, Tarlov took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to slam the Republican Party amid Biden's impeachment inquiry. 

The Fox host retweeted the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability's post which stated, "In 2018, Joe Biden publicly boasted about his central role in having Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin fired."

House Committee on Oversight and Accountability's post further read, "By his own admission, Joe Biden said he made the removal of Prosecutor General Shokin –  the man leading the investigation into Burisma, Hunter’s cash cow – a condition for Ukraine to receive a critical $1 billion loan guarantee."

It then continued, "@RepJamesComer is requesting Secretary of State Antony Blinken to provide information on then-Vice President Biden’s sudden shift on Ukraine policy that just so happens to coincide with Hunter’s business interests."

However, Tarvlov mocked the GOP saying, "Guess BREAKING now means ‘old lame bs’ to the GOP? What a waste of a great emoji that used to have real meaning! This is going to be a very lame impeachment inquiry if McCarthy caves to his boss MTG."

Internet calls 'The Five' host Jessica Tarlov 'hypocrite' 

Tarlov's playful tweet did not sit well with many, including her own followers. Social media users went on to say that she was biased when comparing Biden's impeachment to Trump's.

"I like you, Jessica, but you impeached Trump twice for much less. Don’t be a hypocrite," one of her followers wrote.

Another one also claimed her to be lying as they wrote, "Only “lame” to the misinformed such as yourself Jessica, you stated many times on The Five that US Agencies were in agreement with Biden, They were NOT. You lie constantly."

Several people claimed that Tarlov was simply ignoring the evidence piling up against Biden.

An X user responded with, "Hey Jessica! Pretend the name is Trump. I bet you'd be jumping up & down at the thought of impeachment. You know there is a ton of evidence that Joe is at the very least compromised at most a corrupt official who used his influence for financial gain. I'm betting the latter."

Someone also replied saying, "Jessica, this is far far far more damning than anything that they scrounged up as a reason for Trump impeachment. You may not like it but this has the potential to be far-reaching and deep, I think deep down you probably know that."

Some were also in agreement with Tarlov, acknowledging that the impeachment is more or less impractical.

"More Republicans will be hurt by this, because they will be called to testify and they are the biggest liars in the world. More Republicans arrests....I can taste the tears now," one of the users wrote while another one said, "I don't think he [McCarthy] has the votes in the House. He's setting himself up for a major embarrassment."
