Internet questions Katie Pavlich's 'medical background' after she calls Covid-19 masks 'garbage'

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Fox News host Katie Pavlich's recent tweet calling masks “garbage” as a defense mechanism against Covid-19 did not sit well with many on the Internet. 

The 35-year-old conservative political commentator re-tweeted a clip from the White House Press Conference where Press Secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, informed that President Joe Biden has tested negative for Covid after the First Lady was confirmed positive for the same.

While sharing this clip from the White House, Pavlich called out anyone wearing a mask and stated that they “do not work.”

Although her remarks may have been accepted by her ardent followers, some netizens took offense and asked her for her “medical degree.”

Reacting to the White House Press Conference regarding Biden's Covid measures, Pavlich claimed "masks are garbage against COVID/Wuhan coronavirus." She further simply stated, they "do not work." 

She tweeted, “In fact, they cause harm with lung damage and cancerous materials. Not to mention the massive environmental pollution.”

Pavlich's unapologetic statement without any legitimate scientific or medical proof backfired as Internet users slammed her for her 'ignorant' remarks.

A few of the netizens were furious at Pavlich’s ignorance and shot back with sarcasm, trying to undermine the Fox News’ statement.

One asked, “ROFLOL. What’s your medical background genius?” while a second said, “They DO work? And your MD is from where?” A third mentioned, “Legitimate source for lung damage claim?” 

Another questioned, “Oh so now you care about the environment? You are misery personified.”

A fifth mocked her and wrote, “No surprise “Dr. Katie” thinks she is smarter than the Mayo Clinic, CDC, and the hundreds of thousands of healthcare professionals who ALL wear masks to HINDER or RETARD the spread of COVID & other infectious diseases.” 

He added, “But then again, facts have never registered much with Katie.”

A sixth posted a meme calling Pavlich’s tweet a s**tpost, claiming, “Thanks for your s**tpost. You have been given a bonus of 800 Rubles.” Meanwhile one hilariously quipped, "Yup, looks like they all took their stupid pills today."
