BRIDGEHAMPTON, NEW YORK: A few days following a lighthearted gesture in which 'Real Housewives of New York' alum Bethenny Frankel playfully critiqued Kim Kardashian's Christmas decorations, she couldn't resist making a subtle comment about her gift-wrapping abilities.
In a playful nod to Kim's distinctive style, Bethenny decided to put her own spin on it, using bed sheets for wrapping and humorously commenting, "Who knew pillow covers could make such good wrapping paper?"
"Now this one was trolling... but you... not her. It's undeniable how successful her brand, taste level & aesthetic are... but also undeniable that humor and not taking ourselves too seriously are important as well. If you don't have a sense of humor unfollow: Happy Holidays!" she captioned her video.
However, Bethenny's endeavor to mock Kim's gift wrapping didn't resonate positively with many, as some vehemently disapproved, deeming it "sickening."
Criticism escalated when comparisons were drawn to sensitive geopolitical issues, with some stating the pillow gift wraps resembled the Israel-Palestine conflict, deeming it inappropriate.
Many suggested that Bethenny should consider therapy for such jokes, emphasizing that her attempt at humor missed the mark and wasn't remotely funny.
