NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Fox News host Jesse Watters has come under fire for his insensitive comments about Arab Americans and Muslims.

On the evening show 'The Five', the host slammed the Middle Eastern countries and went on to say that he has "had it with them".

During such a time of much misinformation on the internet and hate crimes against Muslim people and communities, many netizens came forward to slam Watters for his take and called him out for making "false claims".

Jesse Watters says America made the Middle Eastern countries 'rich'

As the panel discussed the state of America amid the Israel-Hamas war, Watters went on a rant against the Middle East when it was his turn.

"I want to say something about Arab Americans and the Muslim world -- I'm not going to hold your hand, even though I should, Dana," Watters said.

He claimed, "We, and when I say we I mean the West and Western technology, have created the Middle East. We made them rich. We got that oil out of the ground, our military protects all of these oil shipments flying around the world, making them rich. We fund their military. We respect their kings. We kill their terrorists. Okay? But we've had it. We've had it with them."

"Obama, Trump, now Biden have tried to get the heck out of that stupid desert," Watters said, adding, "Just as we're about to get out, because we have this great balance of power we're arranging, these crazy Muslim fanatics come in and massacre over a thousand of our allies. And hold Jewish people hostage, hold Americans hostage."

"And so, if you're an Arab American in this country, and you rip down posters of Jewish hostages, American hostages -- no. No, no, no. Someone is going to get punched in the face," Watters said.

The posters Watters is referring to here are 'Missing Person' posters of Israelis who are being held hostage by Hamas in Gaza.

Netizens slam Jesse Watters for attacking Arabs and Muslims

Many users on X schooled Watters for his comments, especially noting that he was making several false claims.

One user wrote, "This is in no way an accident, equating the Muslim world and Arab Americans most of whom (like me) are Christian. It's so sweeping and racist, which is the point with its "we've had it" implication that "we" is white and "had it" a call to action against "them.""

Another one said, "Let’s set aside that Jesse Watters is an awful human being. Can we talk @ “We got that oil out of the ground, our military protects all of these oil shipments flying around the world, making them rich.” Oil shipments flying around the world? Man, he’s as dumb as he is awful."

A comment on Watters' rant read, "Once again, Jesse Watters resorting to divisive rhetoric, targeting Arabs, Palestinians, and Muslims. We need more constructive dialogue, not hate."

"And I think we've all had it with Jesse Watters," another user said, adding, "This is basically a reprint of a Bush-era ramble that promoted the Iraq War. How can anyone claim that the Muslims are going back to voting Republican in 2024 after this?"

One social media user also noted, "PSA: it is burdensome to have to keep track of these, but Jesse Watters has a history of arrogant racism and deliberately denigrating Asian Americans. Good people do not support this man."

Here, the user was referring to a controversial segment Watters did when he was a 'Man on the Street' for Billy O'Reilly.

Many users mocked Watters' for his remarks as one said, "Wow: if only Jesse Watters's opinion mattered this would be more alarming."
