Sean Hannity revealed his choice for Speaker after Kevin McCarthy's controversial ousting

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Only a day after former GOP House Speaker Kevin McCarthy was ousted from his position, Rep Jim Jordan announced his bid for Speaker, which Fox News anchor Sean Hannity reported on.

Now, Hannity has announced his choice for Speaker, and it is Jordan. Hannity believes Jordan is the “best option” right now. As Hannity revealed his choice, he provided further insight into the events unfolding on Capitol Hill.

On X, formerly known as Twitter, Sean Hannity shed light on his decision to choose Jordan as Speaker, and the internet was quick to react.

Sean Hannity picks Jim Jordan over Steve Scalise

On X, Sean Hannity wrote, “HANNITY: "My choice for Speaker, the best option, is Congressman Jim Jordan.”

Attached to this was an article on his official website, titled, “HANNITY MONOLOGUE: Scalise Needs to Put Health First, My Choice for Speaker is Jim Jordan.”

In this monologue, Hannity elaborated on this choice following Kevin McCarthy’s ousting.

Hannity said, "We know that both House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan and House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, they now are officially in. They are running to be speaker. Let me tell you where I am tonight. Make no mistake, I like Steve Scalise.”

Hannity continued, “I think he's a great leader. I think he's a really good guy. He's a patriot. But I personally am worried for him for one very, very real reason. It's not going to be easy to run for speaker. He happens to be going through cancer treatment right now.”

“And I want his health to be put first. I really mean that when I say that. I don't think he should be changing his position at this time,” added Hannity.

Hannity then explained his pick for Speaker, “With that in mind, again, no personal anything involved in this. My choice for chairman, my choice for speaker, the best option I think we have is Jim Jordan, the Ohio congressman.”

“Now, I do believe he could and should garner the full support of the GOP conference and can best articulate, that's for sure. He's the best guy at labeling lists of what Democrats do wrong and what Republicans do right of anybody in Washington. And I think he can articulate that agenda to the country,” said Hannity in his monologue.

Internet slams Sean Hannity for picking Rep Jim Jordan for Speaker

In response to Sean Hannity’s pick for Speaker, the internet hasn’t responded positively to Hannity, not Jordan.

As for Hannity’s opinion, one person wrote, “Nobody cares. You’re not a member of Congress,” and another said, “Damn last time I looked you weren't in any position to decide anything.”

“Which tells me how bad your judgment is,” wrote one user, and another said, “If he’s your choice that means he is the worst option.”

One user wrote, “Now, we know Jordan is the wrong choice!!” and another said, “Yikes. Mark Levin and Sean Hannity are both recommending Jordan. That raises serious doubts in my mind.”
