NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Claire McCaskill, a political analyst on MSNBC, suggested that Donald Trump is “even more dangerous” than historical figures like Benito Mussolini and Adolf Hitler during her appearance on ‘Dateline’.

She argued that his singular focus on self-interest, coupled with the absence of a distinct political ideology, makes him exceptionally hazardous.

Following this, Fox News anchor Laura Ingraham took to X (formerly Twitter) and backed ex-POTUS following McCaskill’s alleged remarks.

Apparently, the internet also supported Ingraham as several X users shared their views on McCaskill’s remarks of calling Trump “dangerous.”

Laura Ingraham defends Donald Trump after Claire McCaskill calls him ‘dangerous’

Fox News anchor Laura Ingraham took to X and wrote, “Trump…Stalin…blah blah blah…Trump Hitler…blah blah blah…Trump…end of democracy…blah blah blah…Since Biden has failed at everything, and America is waking up, this is all they have.”

In her tweet, she replied to a short clip of Claire McCaskill where she shared her thoughts on fears growing as a result of Donald Trump embracing authoritarianism.

During McCaskill's invitation to discuss Trump's alleged role in fueling violence and political extremism in America, she pointed out that, “A lot of people have tried to draw similarities between Mussolini and Hitler and the use of the terminology like ‘vermin’ and the drive that those men had towards autocracy and dictatorship.”

She continued, “The difference, though, I think makes Donald Trump even more dangerous, and that is he has no philosophy he believes in. He is not trying to expand the boundaries of the United States of America. He is not trying to overcome a neighboring country like Putin is in Ukraine.”

“He is not going for a grandiose scheme of international dominance. All he wants is to look in the mirror and see a guy who is president. All he cares about is selfish self-promotion. That’s the only philosophy he has.”

McCaskill contended that this aspect renders Trump "even more dangerous because he’s actually said out loud that it would be okay to terminate the Constitution to keep him in power.”

She concluded adding, “He actually said those words. And the irony is all of these supposed conservative folks that have populated the Republican party all stood around with their thumb in their mouth going ‘well, yeah okay.’ It’s bizarre.”

Internet slams Claire McCaskill for calling Donald Trump ‘dangerous’

After Laura Ingraham backed Donald Trump when Claire McCaskill called him ‘more dangerous’ than Hitler, the internet called out the former senator.

One person wrote, “She needs to look at herself. Someone needs to tell these people that no one believes them anymore. They are done.”

Another called out saying, “Clair was an embarrassment to the state of Missouri a still is.  Funny how money talks an changes one self Clair.”

An X user simply said, “They’re in a panic,” and another wrote, “McClasslesskill was a terrible legislator in the Missouri, which is probably how/why she was hired at CNN!”

One mocked McCaskill, “You know what's amazing she is saying all this with a straight face,” and another wrote, “They have nothing but lies. The problem is that so many believe lies.”
