Internet asks Candace Owens 'to say it louder' as she makes an appeal against genocide amid Israel-Hamas conflict
WHITE PLAINS, NEW YORK: Conservative political commentator Candace Owens took to X (formerly Twitter), on November 3, to condemn the loss of innocent lives in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.

She wrote: “No government anywhere has a right to commit a genocide, ever. There is no justification for a genocide. I can’t believe this even needs to be said or is even considered the least bit controversial to state.”

There is no justification for a genocide.
I can’t believe this even needs to be said or is even considered the least bit controversial to state.
People on X were surprised by this tweet from the DailyWire host and wanted her to clarify her stance.
However, she doubled down on her first tweet by posting this: “In short— If the blanket statement that genocide is wrong upsets you in any way, then you need to check yourself. I said exactly what I meant and I won’t be backing down or apologizing or further clarifying this statement.”

Candace Owen’s prior statement on Israel's response in Gaza
The American author, activist, and television presenter had criticized the Israeli response in Gaza, when an IDF airstrike bombed the Greek Orthodox Church of Saint Porphyrios in Gaza City, killing the 18 people who were taking shelter inside.
On October 23, she tweeted, "I have been disgusted by the propagandists pretending a Christian church was not bombed. Christians were killed. No Christian should stay silent."
Well said, Charlie. I have been disgusted by the propagandists pretending a Christian church was not bombed.

Christians were killed.
No Christian should stay silent. https://t.co/KoB9HYKxsK
In response to a user who suggested her comment about the Gaza church was antisemitic, Owens later replied, "Respectfully, if you think it’s antisemitism to notice that innocent Christians were killed in an IDF bombing then you need to log off of the internet and have your brain examined. Respectfully."

The Greek Orthodox Church of Saint Porphyrios was allegedly providing shelter to about 500 Palestinian Christians and Muslims. The Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem issued a statement accusing Israel of committing a "war crime."
The Washington Post reported that the Hamas-run health ministry said that at least 16 Palestinian Christians were among the 18 persons who died in the explosion.
It should be mentioned that late last year, when Kanye West was considering a bid for US president in the 2024 elections, Candace endorsed the singer's antisemitic remarks against Jews and Hitler.
Following West's antisemitic remarks, several X users shared screenshots of a social media post by Owens from a month earlier, in which Owens supported West against people who had compared him to Hitler.

Another user replied, “I won't thank you for your courage, because that would insult anyone with an ounce of moral conscience left. It should not be "courageous" to state such things. But knowing what it could cost you, thank you anyway.”
