SOCHI, RUSSIA: Influencer Maxim Lyutyi and his partner Oxana Mironova were arrested after their one-month-old baby died of ‘prolonged starvation'. The Russian couple, who advocate ‘feeding on sunlight’, is now under investigation and charged with causing death by negligence. The mother has been under house arrest by the judge, while the child’s father Lyutyi was taken into custody separately after resisting arrest.
The 43-year-old is described as a ‘radical raw foodist’ who like his wife ‘believe in feeding on sunlight,’ as per Zvezda News. “The preliminary version of the infant's death is severe exhaustion… that the blogger tried to instill his nutrition system in the baby,” reported the outlet. The baby died while their parents took him to hospital, suspecting of suffering pneumonia and emaciation after suffering from starvation, as per the Daily Mail.

As of now, the Russian Investigative Committee is examining the circumstances of the child's tragic death near the Black Sea resort city of Sochi, and a criminal case has been lodged.
