CROWN POINT, INDIANA: A statewide Amber Alert was issued by officials in Indiana for the missing 16-year-old, Madison Elizabeth Yancy Eddlemon, who is believed to be in extreme danger.

Eddlemon hails from Lake County and was last seen on Saturday morning around 9 am in Crown Point.

She was wearing a black hoodie featuring tribal designs and ripped blue jeans, as reported by the Indianapolis Star.

She also had a black lace choker and shin-high boots.

Her description says, she stands at about 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighs approximately 97 pounds.

Meanwhile, Martin Alexander Curry-Fishtorn, 22, has been named as the key suspect in the teenager's disappearance.

According to Indianapolis television station FOX 59, the suspect is described as being 5 feet 7 inches and weighs about 158 pounds.

He has brown hair and brown eyes. Curry-Fishtorn drives a grey 2009 Chevy Cobalt with the license plate number 645RIS.

Eddlemon's family had filed a protective order against the man for stalking her, which the cops say he violated a number of times.

Crown point, where Eddlemon is from is located about 138 miles northwest of Indianapolis, according to Newsweek.

"I just want her home and safe," Nichole Cain, Eddlemon's mother, told The Times of Northwest Indiana. "If anyone knows anything, please call the police. I want my daughter back. That's all I want."

Cain also added that her daughter was set to begin her junior year at Crown Point High School on Tuesday.

She alleged Curry-Fishtorn has a history of being controlling and abusive to her daughter.

"He became upset when the relationship ended after the family found out the two were seeing each other", she was quoted as saying by  NWI

The teen's car was found empty in the early hours of Saturday.

At the moment it is still unclear if she was taken by force or went voluntarily with Curry-Fishtorn.

Lake County Sheriff Oscar Martinez Jr. explained that the teenager was first reported as having run away, but now is believed to be with Curry-Fishtorn.

The sheriff described Curry-Fishtorn as "armed and dangerous."

Anyone with information or tips regarding Eddlemon's disappearance and the suspect's whereabouts has been asked to contact Lake County Sheriff's Office.

The police can be reached at 911 or 219-660-0000.
