Police in India have arrested a woman for anally raping another woman despite the country's penal code lacking laws pertaining to punishing sex crimes against the same gender. The country's supreme court had recent decriminalized homosexuality in a landmark ruling.
According to News18, authorities arrested a 19-year-old woman, identified only as Shivani, this past week for anally raping the victim repeatedly with a strap-on dildo over a period of months with a sex toy and also physically assaulting her. Also arrested in connection to the case were three other men identified as Rahul, Rohit, and Sagar.
