IceBeanie on ‘Shark Tank’: What is the cost, who is the founder and does it really relieve stress headaches?
Are you a sports buff? Here's a new cooler technology in a beanie to relieve chronic stress headaches, especially after high energy sports games. An entrepreneur from Santa Cruz, California, has the Sharks chilling as they try on his line of cool headwear designed to eliminate tension headaches.
The seeds were first sown in Nic Lamb's head after he went through months of pain and concussion following a surfing accident. He used ice-packs all day long and then thought there had to be a better way. Going back to the secrets of cryotherapy when a mixture of ice and salt to treat headaches in 1849, he designed a cap that could help relieve chronic stress headaches and other ailments.
Cool blood not only numbs the pain signals but also reduces the widened blood vessels that are responsible for feeling migraines. IceBeanie simply makes use of that formula!
What is IceBeanie?
A natural solution to help reduce pain and inflammation associated with migraine headaches and sports injuries, IceBeanie is made of incredibly soft microfiber polyester with acupressure designed gel packs made to stretch and fit comfortably on any shaped head. If you were wondering, it can stay cold for about 45 minutes to one-hour plus (depending on how long you freeze).
According to the description on its official website, here's how IceBeanie works:
CIRCULATORY SYSTEM: Restricts blood flow. Less blood to brain vessels prevents painful overextending.
NERVOUS SYSTEM: Cold slows down the speed at which nerves travel. So it’s harder for pain signals to reach your brain.
METABOLIC SYSTEM: The cold slows down oxygen demand which slows down pain signaling.
Who is the founder?
A Professional Big Wave Surfer, Nic Lamb grew up in Santa Cruz California and has been surfing since when he was five years old. At 9, he started participating in competitions and went on to win amateur events by the time he was 12. Interestingly, he was the youngest ever to surf the notoriously deadly wave “Mavericks” in Northern California just south of San Francisco at the age of 14.
In his sophomore year in high school, he became the California State Champ in Oceanside, California. It didn't take him long to climb the success ladder with a fearless reputation in the world of Big Wave Surfing. He was on magazine covers and earned XXL nominations for “Performance Of The Year” and began competing on the Big Wave Tour—eventually winning his first world tour event in 2014 The Punta Galea Challenge in Spain.
Trotting across the globe, Nic is still competing for his lifetime goal to become a Mavericks Champion. Back in 2017, after wiping-out surfing the largest wave in the world—Nazaré in Portugal, Lamb had a serious concussion and suffered from post-concussion migraine headache like symptoms for months.
It was then that he had this idea to design what is now the “IceBeanie” using the powerful combination of “Compression Cold Therapy” has not only incredible health benefits for the head, brain, and body but also relieved and eliminated any head pain he was suffering!
What is the cost and where to buy?

Where is IceBeanie now?
Back in November 2020 during the pandemic, the product was in much demand and even went out of stock.
In a number of reviews on Amazon and the official website, customers have gone on to praise the product for its efficiency and can't thank it enough for changing their lives. Not just headaches, the IceBeanie has been equally effective for concussions, hangovers, chemo recovery, TBI, tension, fevers, stress, inflammation and sports injuries.

Who will steal the deal?
Here's a little sneak peek where the Sharks seem to have a tiff. Mark Cuban seems sold on the idea already and he offers a $50,000 investment for a 25% stake.
Lamb is instantly happy with Mark's go-ahead and says yes. However, the other Sharks don't seem too happy. In fact, Daymond even goes on to ask if he won't even hear his offer and says “rules are meant to be broken”.
Now, which Shark will finally steal the deal? Well, only time will tell.
