Jazz Jennings was one step closer to completing her transition process once she was approved for gender confirmation surgery, but unfortunately, things did not play out the way she had hoped. A couple of weeks after she got the surgery, Jazz realized that her new uterus was not healing the way it should have.

Without wasting a second, her mother Jeanette Jenning sent a picture to the doctor to make sure everything was fine. Unfortunately, the doctor advised Jazz to undergo another surgery and this time they were to use skin graft to make sure that everything healed properly.

Explaining to the camera, Jazz revealed that her wounds after the surgery were not healing and the skin there was close to gone which left her with red flesh covering the area. She further revealed that another surgery hopes to restructure her uterus and make it look more "aesthetically pleasing".

Talking to her friend Kaci, Jazz added that the doctors were going to reconstruct her labia. She further revealed that her clitoris had to be moved down as it now looked like "a second belly button". To consult the doctors about her third surgery, Jazz and the family decided to head to New York for the consultation.

Dr Marci Bowers pointed out that she was happy that Jazz could feel around that area. She further added that some of the wounds had healed but some needed a skin graft to make sure it is healed properly. Dr Bowers said that due to the surgery she will be left with a scar.

However, the only thing that Jazz was concerned about was losing feelings after the third surgery. Dr Bowers was honest and stated that there was a possibility but they would try their best to make sure that it does not reach that point.

It was finally time for Jazz to undergo her surgery. While she was nervous, she knew she had to stay positive. Meanwhile, Dr Jess Ting, another surgeon on her case, revealed that it was going to be a difficult surgery but they have to figure what would be best for her.

However, the scene in the surgery room was quite different. Dr Bowers and Dr Ting had a difference of opinion on how the surgery should go on. Luckily, they were able to get on the same page and go forward with the surgery and make it a success.

Both the doctors were pleased with how the area looked but knew there might be a chance they will have to have a fourth surgery as they were not sure if the labia would form. However, they added that they will have to wait for a couple of months to find out the results.

'I am Jazz' airs on Tuesdays at 9 pm ET on TLC.
