Hunt on for sick gang of men who sexually assaulted girls underwater at popular beach

Around 6 pm on Tuesday, police received a third-party report of a group of men sexually assaulting and harassing women and girls on the beach

Sussex police are on the lookout for a group of alleged sexual abusers “who followed girls and women into the sea at Brighton beach before sexually assaulting them underwater.” The cops were called in by the lifeguards after multiple complaints were made against some men, who allegedly sexually harassed and molested many females between Brighton Pier and a lifeguard hut to the east on Tuesday, July 26.

July 26 was also reportedly the hottest day in UK history as the temperature went above 40C (104F), forcing people to get some coolness at the beach when the alleged abuses happened between around 1 pm to 5:30 pm. Later, as the investigation into the case progressed, a 32-year-old Hayes man was arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a female but later, he was alllowed to go on bail.

Sussex Police’s spokesperson said, “Detectives investigating a series of reported sexual assaults in Brighton are appealing for further victims and witnesses to come forward. Around 6 pm on Tuesday, police received a third-party report of a group of men sexually assaulting and harassing women and girls on the beach. Officers attended and were informed of multiple reports made to lifeguards involving the same group. This included following and touching girls in the water.”

Investigator Mark Taylor also noted, “These are concerning reports and we are urging anyone who was a victim to sexual, inappropriate or offensive behaviour on Brighton beach that day to come forward so we can establish the full circumstances of what happened. The area was very busy at that time and so we believe a number of people will have witnessed this behaviour. If you have any information at all, no matter how small, please get in touch with us.”

“We take reports of sexual assaults incredibly seriously and encourage people to report any incidents to us at the soonest possible opportunity, so we can identify any offenders but also support and safeguard any victims,” Taylor added.

The disturbing news has left people on the internet worried too as one of them pointed out, “Those damn Amish again no doubt! How in the heck can the public possibly help when there is not even a description of the perpetrators. These 'progressive' policies are utterly insane!” The second one wrote, “Police appeal for witnesses but no description given of ‘gang of men’🤔🙄.” “As per usual. No Description by police. Draw your own conclusion,” the third one tweeted. “Quite a few people witnessed this assault taking place, buy strangely, no description of any of the perps.....never mind, we all know, don't we? 🤬🤬🤬🤮🤮🤮,” the fourth one angrily mentioned.
