Human Ken Doll to undergo procedure to stop nose from 'sinking' after previous 11 surgeries left it completely destroyed
'Human Ken Doll' Rodrigo Alves, who underwent a staggering 11 nose jobs, has now revealed his nose has begun to collapse.
Speaking to Daily Mail, the 36-year-old said he fears doctors won't be able to come up with a permanent fix for his nose after revealing he is going to have another procedure to try and stop it from "sinking." Alves underwent his 11th nose procedure in January. However, he is already planning on the next one in a bid to salvage what's left of his nasal cavity.
"The results of this surgery were very pleasing at first but now I am going to have to have another surgery because it is sinking and I am scared, to be honest," Alves told the outlet. "Each time is riskier than the last and I'm worried that doctors aren't going to be able to fix my nose permanently."
"My surgeon guaranteed he can fix my breathing, so finally I will be able to breathe again but there is a risk that my skin will not tolerate the surgery," Alves said after his surgery in January this year. "If necrolysis develops it could mean I will lose my nose, so I am on antibiotics and hyperbaric oxygen therapy to reduce the risk of that. There is definitely a risk of necrolysis but there are ways to reduce that and I will defeat it if it happens."
Medics have since told him his nose could collapse completely if he doesn't wrap up repeated operations.
In a conversation with Italian TV show Domenica Live, the reality TV personality claimed to have had 72 surgeries, but added he had only gone under the knife after suffering from a "lot of complications and things had to be repaired at the start."
Alves is now looking at only "non-surgical procedures" that don't require him to be anesthetized.
Over the years, he has spent over $774,300 on surgeries, including botox, pec implants, and wait for it -- rib removal. Besides, Alves revealed he also underwent a five-hour-long facelift procedure in January where doctors removed 5 cm of skin and about 200 threads from previous procedures.
The TV star has previously warned others about the dangers of such cosmetic operations. "I would say the only things that do work are Botox, fillers, muscle therapy, and vitamins - in my opinion, the threads do not work," he said.
