Radio personality Howard Stern, on Monday, November 16, predicted that if President Donald Trump were to launch his own television network following his White House stint, it would fail within a year. The radio host's statement comes days after it was reported that the Republican leader is planning his own conservative news channel in an act of vengeance against Fox News. Trump, over the past few weeks, has become increasingly critical of Fox, once his beloved network, over its election coverage.

Stern made the statement on his Sirius XM radio show, saying: "The president all weekend was busy tweeting about Fox News. He’s mad at them because they actually had some reality over there and now he’s talking about... the OAN network, which I’ve never seen, actually. I don’t know how you get it." One America News (OAN) states on its website that viewers can stream the channel "LIVE  on your desktop or mobile device without a contract, offering flexibility and affordability." Stern's radio show co-host Robin Quivers, described OAN as a "doozy" on the show.

Stern added that if the president attempted to open a news network, it would fail like "all the other businesses." He said: "Now they are saying he is going to run his own news network. He thinks running the country is hard. Wait until he has to run a news network. That’ll fail inside of a year like all the other businesses. This is just insanity what’s going on.”

Stern, during the segment, also implored the Republican to concede in the 2020 presidential elections and calm down his "hillbilly friends." The radio show host said: "For once do something good for the country, calm down your f***ing loony hillbilly friends and tell them you lost the election and you’re going to help the transition. These loonies who follow you are all worked up; they think something was taken from them."

Stern, earlier this year in April, had announced that he would be endorsing Joe Biden for president regardless of his friendship with Trump. Stern had said: "I am all-in on Joe Biden. You see the wall that’s right next to you? I’ll vote for the wall over a guy who tells me that I should pour Clorox into my mouth. Listen, I think we are in deep s**t. I think we could have been ahead of this curve."

Trump's recent ire at Fox erupted after the network called the state of Arizona for his political rival President-elect Joe Biden on election night itself. Fox, a renowned conservative network, was the first outlet to call Arizona, which has voted Republican for years. Although the Associated Press also came up with the results shortly after, several other news outlets held off from declaring the state in favor of the former vice president as the margins were high. Fox, despite pressure from Trump administration officials, however, stuck to its call.

President Trump and his campaign, ever since Election Day, have falsely claimed that they won the 2020 presidential elections and have consistently floated claims of voter fraud without providing any evidence.
