It is back to business for highschool outcast-turned-online drug dealer Moritz Zimmermann (Maximilian Mundt), Lenny Sander (Danilo Kamperidis) and Daniel Riffert aka Dan (Damian Hardung). In Season 1 of Netflix's 'How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast)', the trio had quickly become the stars of their school with their online drugs shop MyDrugs taking off.

In Season 2,  which follows the events of Season 1, after making 1 million Euros, they are returning with more zest than the last time. Calling it a day and quitting the business was no option as Moritz is not one to do so. In the upcoming season not only do they have to escape the police but must also face two street-gangsters.

The real-life Moritz, however, couldn't elude the police for long. Yes, 'How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast)' is based on the real-life story of the then-18-year-old Maximilian S, who in 2013 created an online shop called Shiny Flakes to sell drugs. In no time, Maximilian's venture went through the roof and he made millions of euros worth of Bitcoin.

During the nascent stages of his venture, he disguised the money he made as profit from a web-designing business. But it wasn't long till the police caught up with him. Following month-long investigations, it was two years later when the 20-year-old was caught by the police that brought his multi-million dollar business to a stop seizing a whopping 320 kilos of drugs worth 4.1 million euros — one of the largest drug busts in Germany's history. By then, he had already become one of the biggest online dealers in Germany, according to the police.

Maximilian usually shipped his drugs within German-speaking countries only, but a few of them made it all the way to Indonesia. Following his arrest, after police were able to decrypt his hard drive, five other individuals were arrested. German police couldn't be more proud of themselves for successfully nabbing Maximilian. In a press conference following the arrest, they had one message for dealers: "Nobody is out of reach of the law's eagle eyes, not the street dealer, not the darknet vendor and not even the customers."

The young dealer has now been in custody since 2015. Having been tried as a minor, Maximilian got seven years in prison, but it is not a rigorous punishment. He is permitted to leave the prison during the day.  In an interview, creators Philipp Käßbohrer and Matthias Murmann revealed that when Maximilian found out about the Netflix series on him, he showed up on set."We thought he was making it up, but it was him," Murmann had said. "It was interesting to get his mindset."

Season 2 of 'How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast)' will premiere on Netflix on July 21. Season 1 is currently streaming on Netflix.
