Over the years several businesses that appeared on 'Shark Tank' as a budding business or an idea, managed to become successful, multimillion-dollar enterprises. ABC's award-winning reality show has soon become every aspiring entrepreneur's ultimate dream to appear on and woo some successful, and very high-profile investors known as "Sharks". These Sharks hear out the business pitches from the entrepreneurs.

These budding entrepreneurs are people from all walks of life with an interesting idea which they feel has the potential to be a game-changer. The Sharks will then decide whether they are interested in investing in the idea/product or not and then offer a deal in case they are interested. If multiple sharks are interested then it leads to a bidding war of sorts amongst them.

Earlier, one could apply for 'Shark Tank' casting calls, either by filling up an online form or attending an open call, which were held in various cities across the county. But due to restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 outbreak, currently, the show is accepting applications only through online forms.
