'1000-lb Sisters' star Tammy Slaton needs $85K skin removal surgery
Losing more than 100 pounds leads one to be left with extra skin and the same has happened with Tammy.
In order to remove the extra skin, Tammy needs to go through skin removal surgery. Since Tammy's case is an exception as she has lost huge weight, she might need a big pocket to go through the surgery.
Dr Richard Westreich explains the cost of the surgery needed in an interview with The Sun. He says, "For Tammy’s face, she would get a facelift or a direct neck lift where you cut out skin from the center of the neck before closing it up."
A neck life is reported to take 5 hours and cost around $35K. Moreover, abdominoplasty for the lower abdomen, the doctor noted, takes two to three hours of surgery, costing around $20K.
Tammy also needs a leg lift, costing around $15K for two hours of surgery. She will also need to remove skin from both her arms, costing $15K with an additional two hours of surgery. This totals to $85K with 11-12 hours of surgery.
