What is the run time of the ‘Succession’ series finale?
In an interview with Variety, Nicholas Britell revealed the run-time of the series finale, “It’s 90-minutes. It’s a huge episode – like a movie.” If this isn’t the biggest silver lining ‘Succession’ has come across, we don’t know what is! It is no secret that a season or series finale tends to usually be a little longer than the other episodes, but ‘Succession’ is definitely cranking up the heat and taking it a few notches higher. The ‘Succession’ series finale will be directed by none other than Mark Mylod, who has proved his ability to deliver some of the best episodes in the HBO series!
Other than the run-time, ‘Succession’ is holding the rest of the cards close to its chest, as nothing else about the series finale has been revealed. However, they do have 90 minutes to fill, which is the classic run-time of Hollywood movies, so we can definitely expect an action-packed and drama-filled series finale!
Why is ‘Succession’ ending?
If you have been wondering why your favorite series is coming to an end, it is likely that the series finale will answer your question. Jesse Armstrong told Variety, “The word that comes to mind for me is ‘natural’. I hope people, when they see this season, will feel that it has a natural shape to it.” A 'natural' ending will most likely be more appreciated by fans rather than ‘Succession’ being dragged on and eventually losing its charm.
For example, ‘Fleabag’ by Phoebe Waller-Bridge came to an end after only two very successful seasons, but it made sense for Waller-Bridge because she only needed two seasons to tell the story. So, while fans will be bummed out for a while about ‘Succession’ coming to an end, hopefully, the much-anticipated series finale will give them the closure they need!
The ‘Succession’ series finale will air on HBO on May 28, 2023.
