How did Alex Murdaugh's topless pics leak? Photos show disgraced lawyer grinning, lounging around in prison cell
MCCORMICK, SOUTH CAROLINA: Lawyer-turned-murderer Alex Murdaugh's topless photos have been leaked from his tablet, clearly displaying his torso as he grins into the camera while rotting behind bars for claiming the life of his child and wife in one of the most infamous high profile crimes in the US history. The 65-year-old is serving two life sentences and is currently keeping himself busy at South Carolina's McCormick Correctional Institution.
The disgraced lawyer can be seen smiling into the camera from his prison cell, lying around in bed, and otherwise relaxing or lounging around his cell in the photos. Murdaugh has been placed in a secured area as prison officials believe he can be vulnerable to other inmates due to his reputation and notoriety. It is not known how the photos got leaked but the snaps were apparently taken last month, reported Mirror.

In some of the photos, the killer is seen making faces for the camera with his torso peeking out while in other pictures he can be seen wearing a white t-shirt and laying on an orange pillow. A rolled-up magazine that looks like a makeshift loudspeaker is seen hanging over his head in other photos.
Tablets basically serve as a common place for inmates that provides them the opportunity to watch movies, play games, and even make video calls as they serve their sentence. Now, several photos of the convicted lawyer are surfacing online after the YouTube channel Phonecalls from Prison leaked the snaps from the South Carolina Department of Corrections. This comes just weeks after an audio call came to light that took place between Murdaugh and his survivor son, Buster. The two exchanged a horribly awkward conversation that lasted all of 42 seconds.
What did the YouTuber say?
"Alex Murdaugh’s Only Fans premiere," YouTuber joked in another video of the leaked photos according to RadarOnline. "I’m only kidding. But we have some leaked selfies. I’m sure he didn’t want these bad boys getting out." The Youtube creator confirmed besides the entertainment that the tablets were also equipped for messaging and video calls. "[Inmates] can also send messages like emails to your approved people who you're allowed to communicate with," Pablo told his subscribers. "But you also have video call visits on there."
Why is Murdaugh serving two life sentences?
Jurors took less than three hours to reach their verdict as they decided that without any doubt, Murdaugh killed his wife and son on June 7, 2021. Maggie and Paul were brutally gunned down on the powerful family’s vast 1,700-acre Moselle estate. Murdaugh shot his son, 22, twice with a 12-gauge shotgun while he stood in the feed room of the dog kennels, with the second shot to his head blowing his brain almost entirely out of his skull.
Prosecutors claimed that after killing Paul, Alex Murdaugh grabbed a .300 Blackout semiautomatic rifle and opened fire on Maggie as she tried to escape. She was shot five times including twice in the head after she had fallen to her knees.
