House of the Dragon’ is undoubtedly one of the biggest shows in the world right now and continues to impress viewers with each passing episode. However, the frequent time jumps have started to bother some people around. In the first four episodes, we saw the series taking small time jumps to highlight all the important moments from House Targaryen’s reign. But it seems the HBO fantasy series is set to take the biggest time jump yet with Episode 6 and introduce us to the new cast.

The fifth episode of the ‘Game of Thrones’ prequel series ended with a lot of heartbreaks. King Viserys I Targaryen (Paddy Considine) announced that his daughter Princess Rhaenyra (Milly Alcock) will soon marry Ser Laenor Velaryon which will make the relationship between House Targaryen and House Velaryon even stronger. But things got out of control when Ser Criston punched Ser Joffrey Lonmouth to death when he tries to make a deal on his lover’s (Laenor) behalf. The ending moments of the episode see Rhaenyra and Laenor getting married with only their families around.

It marked the end of an era and a new dawn is upon us. The preview for Episode 6 introduced us to the older versions of some characters, including Princess Rhaenyra and Queen Alicent. It means the show is set to take its biggest time jump and take us to an era where the relationship between Rhaenyra and Alicent has gone from bad to worse.

Let’s get to know about the episode’s time jump and what can viewers expect from Episode 6.

‘House of the Dragon’ Episode 6 Spoilers: Will the episode feature show’s biggest time jump yet?

Yes, the HBO series is set to feature the show’s biggest time jump, as 10 years will pass between Episode 5 and Episode 6. Along with the time jump, viewers will be introduced to new actors, Emma D’Arcy and Olivia Cooke. They will be replacing Milly Alcock and Emily Carey as Princess Rhaenyra and Queen Alicent Hightower.

The next episode is titled ‘The Princess and the Queen’ and the newly released promo suggests that Rhaenyra and Alicent are trying to prove who is wiser and who is better at taking strong decisions. The clip features a scene where Rhaenyra and Alicent are sitting in a Small Council meeting and Alicent has now taken a more active role in talking about the issues related to the kingdom. She feels that Daemon is responsible for leaving Stepstones undefended, to which, Rhaenyra replies that it is Prince Daemon’s fault because the crown never bothered to reinforce the region.

The promo has made one thing clear viewers will get to know a new generation of Targaryens and while it may confuse some viewers at first, the epic storytelling will keep them hooked to their screens and focus on all the important developments.
