'Tyler Perry's House Of Payne' is back and will pick up nine years after the events in 2012. The sitcom has shifted base from TBS to BET and has garnered astronomical ratings and ranked among the top shows, crossing 1.08 million viewers. The show tells the story of retired fire chief Curtis Payne and his wife Ella and their turbulent household, as their kids, who are now grown-ups, keep getting into some mischief or the other, leading to tricky situations.  In the Season 9 premiere, Malik Payne (Larramie 'Doc' Shaw) arrives home with some groundbreaking news but doesn't know how to let his family know, just as yet. It turns out that his girlfriend Lisa is pregnant. Malik's cousin Calvin (Lance Gross) discovers the truth and has some pearls of wisdom to drop, as he has had his fair share of tumultuous relationships. Calvin tells Malik, “One thing you don’t want is a crazy baby mama. That’s why we gave you all those condoms when you left for school.”

To make matters more complicated, Malik's parents, CJ (Allen Payne) and Janine (Demetria McKinney) don't like Lisa. Curtis (LaVan Davis) and Ella (Cassi Davis) try to be helpful, even though Curtis keeps cracking fat-jokes, along with revealing some overtly intimate details about his sex life with Ella. Ella has a more calming effect, though she gives moral lectures on pre-marital sex. The synopsis for Episode 3 reads, "CJ and Janine decide to stand by Malik's side after finding out his girlfriend Lisa is pregnant that leaves Curtis and Ella shocked to see them so moderate."  Things get wackier by Episode 4. The synopsis there reads, "Jazmine learns that Malik is having a baby and believes Janine is pregnant again plus her boyfriend Kaleb wants to have sex with Jazmine for the first time.

‘Tyler Perry’s House of Payne’ Season 9 Episode 3 will release on September 9, 2020, at 8 pm ET on BET, followed by episode 4 at 8.30 pm ET. The series has a weekly-release format with two back-to-back episodes dropping every Wednesday in the same time slot.

So tune in, for all the family drama and ensuing hilarity on the show.
