'House Of Payne' Season 9 Episode 11 Review: Should Calvin forget Miranda and move on with Laura?

Among the many toxic relationships on the show, Miranda and Calvin take the cake but it is high time that the two just move on in life

Toxic couples have to be dealt with on 'House Of Payne', both young and old. In the latest episode of Tyler Perry's show, Ella (Cassi Davis) has had enough of Curtis's (LaVan Davis) disrespectful behavior and walks out. It's about time because we were beginning to wonder for how long was she going to sit there and let him take her for granted.

Throughout the course of the season, Curtis has been whining for his food and interrupting her conversations with Jazmine, to the point where even she questioned why Curtis treated Ella like that. Well, Ella isn't having that and decided to walk out. Of course, the man can't handle the house himself, and the house is a mess and neither has he had food. *Cough, man child, cough*. He comes crawling back to Ella by the end of the episode and asks for forgiveness, which she grants him, unwillingly. So will we see Curtis behave himself from the next episode? No? Okay, we thought so.

That's one toxic couple. The other one is Calvin and Miranda, and their neverending divorce drama. Miranda wants Calvin back, he doesn't — that's the long and short of it. The two forgot that they shared a kiss just a while ago — a kiss that gave most of us hope — hope that this would be the end of the saga. But it wasn't, because we saw that in the next episode, Calvin had brought another girl home to introduce to his parents.

Nevertheless, in Episode 11, Miranda reveals that she still has feelings for Calvin and that she wants him back. Seeing him with Laura hurts her, something that Calvin finds hard to believe. He gets choked with emotion, but not enough to take her back. Uh, yes we know that Miranda wanted a divorce, but he treated her miserably too. Have we all forgotten that?

But anyway. Both of them should just move on. Calvin should move on with Laura, and Miranda should just move on or get herself a puppy. Arguably, the Calvin and Miranda scenes still possess some of the old emotions and spark that 'House Of Payne' used to evoke. But not enough. What's going to happen next?
