'Hot and Heavy': Chris' mother Lori fears he will start overeating if he marries Joy
Joy and Chris have been in a relationship for three years and he is ready to take it to the next stage. However, before doing that he wants to let his parents know that he plans on getting engaged to Joy. Chris' family has been open to welcoming Joy into the family but one person who is concerned about the relationship is Chris' mother, Lori.
Lori herself has had bariatric surgery and has lost a lot of weight after that. She revealed that she has been in Joy's shoes and knows how life gets hard. Even though Lori loves Joy she is concerned about how their relationship is going to affect Chris. Chris and his family have been vocal about wanting to go on trips and go on trekking but it has been something that Joy has been unable to take part in.
While he is concerned about how Joy feels about these conversations, Lori told Chris that marrying Joy may not be a good decision. She added that it is important for one to be active and there are chances that Joy's lifestyle might soon take over Chris's and affect the way he lives.
In the past, Lori has stopped Chris from getting engaged to his previous girlfriend because she had problems with her size too. While Chris understood what his mother was trying to explain to him he knew that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Joy. Even though his mother asked him not to get engaged, Chris decided to go against his mother and listen to his heart.
He decided that he would propose to Joy and puts his relationship with his mother at risk. He appeared sure about his decision and was ready to go forward with it but will this create a rift between mother and son?
