HORRIFYING video shows Asian woman, 70, being beaten by gang of thugs including an 11-year-old boy

As per the reports, an 18-year-old involved has been arrested while the youngest will not be charged in the case due to his age

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA: A 70-year-old Asian woman was beaten up by a group of three children and an 18-year-old on July 31 in the lobby of her building. Police have confirmed the involvement of an 11-year-old boy in the assault. The two other boys involved are 13 and 14. Darryl Moore, 18, has been detained at the Santa Clara County jail.

According to Daily Mail, a surveillance camera from the complex, located at the 100 block of San Francisco street shows the four moving towards the woman around 5.02 pm and later, dragging her. The woman, identified as Ren, was beaten, kicked in the head and robbed. She previously told ABC7 News, "They got really mad and pulled me down. They used their fist to hit my head multiple times and then they pulled me down and kept kicking me." As per US News, San Francisco Police Chief Bill Scott said, "Unable to understand them because of a language barrier, she went into the building's lobby and the suspects followed her. Then they beat and robbed her before fleeing. The victim was transported to a local hospital and thank goodness her injuries were not life-threatening."

As per Yahoo!, the attack happened on one of the first days the elderly victim left her house after two years to avoid Covid-19. Narrating the assault in detail, Ren said that the attackers asked her the time and she replied, "5 o'clock." "They searched my body, and I quickly realize they're up to no good," she said. She tried getting into the elevator as the attackers tried snatching her phone. One attacker wearing a gray camouflage hoodie can be seen beating the woman in the head while another one in black hoodie pulled her by the arm. Following the attack, Ren is on bed rest and recovering from injuries.

As per US News, the identities of the juveniles won't be released. However, the 13, 14 and 18-year-old face robbery, elder abuse, false imprisonment and conspiracy charges. On the other hand, the 11-year-old will not be charged in the case because of his age.
