As reported earlier, Moranis was attacked by Ventura when he was walking near Central Park West on the Upper West Side around 7.30 am on October 1. Ventura struck him in the head and knocked him to the ground. He was arrested on November 14, 2020, at 96th Street and Broadway subway station.

After the attack, Moranis reportedly got himself treated at a local hospital where he reported pain in his head, back and right hip. After being treated, the actor then reported the incident to cops at the 20th Precinct, according to a police official.

"He just wants us to catch the bad guy and all this to go away. He has some injuries to his left side," he explained.
