Historic Homes for sale: Le Petit Trianon, Little Daisy Hotel and Harry Gesner's Triangle House up for grabs
Despite the ongoing pandemic, many Hollywood celebrities and other prominent personalities continued their usual real estate deals, buying and selling houses and properties worth millions. The luxury homes are treated more than just a place of residence, owing to their extravaganza and sometimes for the rich history they carry with them. And now, three such historic homes known for their famous past are up for sale and if you’re interested in making them yours, here is everything you need to know:
Le Petit Trianon
While San Francisco lost a majority of its infrastructure in the 1906 earthquake, the city’s grand mansion Le Petit Trianon managed to survive. Between 1902 and 1904, it was built with brownstone and mortar and became the only mansion to survive the natural disaster years later. Le Petit was modeled after King Louis XV on the ground of Palace of Versailles, San Francisco, which is now available for a whopping $21.8 million. The house which stretches over 1,700 square feet, is built on three levels with views of the city and San Francisco Bay. The mansion comes with twenty bedrooms, nine baths, two kitchens, two wet bars and a butler pantry. Along with nine fireplaces, Le Petit Trianon consists of a ballroom-turned-elegant nightclub, media room, formal living and dining rooms, reception room, library, family room, two home offices, den, breakfast room, and gardening room. It also accommodates two-car garages and parking for up to eight cars. It is located in one of the city’s wealthiest neighborhoods.
Little Daisy
The little Daisy hotel in Jerome, Arizona, which is available for sale at the price of $6.2 million, was first built in 1919 as a small hotel for copper miners. It was remade by its current owners upon its purchase in 1995. The hotel stretches on a 3.45 acres property with the views of the hills and valleys. Littel Daisy boasts a 12,000 square feet climate-controlled living space, 2,900 square feet of interior porches, 9,000 square feet of rooftop garden workshops spreading across 2,600 square feet. Other amenities within the hotel include fireplaces throughout, a game room, home theater, wine cellar, bar, a large kitchen that opens to a private terrace, retro phone booth and an office and craft/sewing room. Its location is an added benefit as Jerome has become a popular tourist attraction over the years.
Triangle House
Triangle House is one of Harry Gesner's collection of inspiring houses. After years of self-learning, surfer-turned-self-taught architect Gesner went on to build a list of houses including the triangle house, which is for sale at $3.9 million. Located in Tarzana, California, the 5,278-square-foot home comes with four bedrooms and four baths. The guest house which is built across the terrace is a replica of the main house. The kitchen hosts a large island within and the dining room consists of glass walls. A large media room, expansive outdoor terraces for entertaining and a pool and sauna are the few other amenities. The triangle house was built in 1960 with 21st-century updates.
