Hillary Clinton, in an interview on Tuesday, said that the "gutsiest" decision she has ever made was to remain married to former President Bill Clinton after his cheating scandal. Clinton, while appearing on Good Morning America, said: "I think the gutsiest thing I've ever done - well, personally - make the decision to stay in my marriage. Publicly, politically - run for president and keep going. Just get up every day and keep going."

Clinton's daughter, Chelsea Clinton, who was also present during the interview for their new book titled 'The Book of Gutsy Women: Favorite Stories of Courage and Resilience' was taken aback by her mother's admission. "Oh, goodness. I think I'm so overwhelmed by my mother's answer that I'm a bit out of words. I'm so proud to be her daughter," Chelsea said.

The Bill Clinton cheating scandal involved the former president and a 22-year-old White House intern Monica Lewinsky. The scandal rocked the nation leading to Bill Clinton's impeachment. Hillary, however, remained supportive of her husband and denied all the allegations against him.

The former first lady has also addressed her feelings about her husband's infidelity previously in her 2017 book 'What Happened, Hillary'. The former presidential candidate, in her book, alluded to the affair writing: "There were times that I was deeply unsure about whether our marriage could or should survive. But on those days I asked myself the question that mattered most to me: Do I still love him? And can I still be in this marriage without becoming unrecognizable to myself-twisted by anger, resentment, or remoteness. The answers were always yes. So I kept going."

The former Secretary of State, during Tuesday's interview, also spoke about an impeachment inquiry launched against President Trump, saying that the lawmakers will do a thorough job with the inquiry.

"I think the evidence concerning Ukraine is so dramatic and irrefutable because it came right out of the White House," Clinton said. "So let the impeachment inquiry proceed. I know that they will do a thoughtful, thorough job. Nobody should jump to any conclusions."
