NEW JERSEY: Charles Cullen, the psycho killer, worked as a nurse for 16 years at several hospitals where he committed horrific killings. It is unclear how many murders Cullen committed during the 15 years from 1988 to 2003. But the lowest recorded number is a confirmed 29. However, Cullen claimed to have killed as many as 40 people.

Police apprehended the horrible murderer in 2003 after he admitted that most of his murders had slipped from his mind and that part of his life had been like a vivid phase. Recently, a Reddit user surfed his "undated high school yearbook photo," which is a black-and-white picture of the deadly killer Cullen.

On the same Reddit thread, another user commented and claimed that Cullen looks like someone who has several dug secrets on the basis of his appearance in the photo and wrote, "He already looks like someone with secrets." Another user commented, "So I'm just scrolling down Reddit on my phone and this big picture of this dude catches my eye.  My brain tells me 'that guy's a serial killer!' and I look up to sub's title and he sure was. Funny how that works sometimes."

The murderer received 18 consecutive life sentences after being found guilty, but due to the gory nature of his crimes, court spared him the death penalty. Cullen's plea deal to avoid the death penalty was successful because he agreed to assist with inquiries into the string of gruesome killings he committed at several hospitals.

At least five victims were killed by Cullen at a Flemington, New Jersey, hospital using the medicine Digoxin. He will be eligible for parole on June 10, 2388. In 1993, Cullen murdered three elderly women at Warren Hospital in the first known use of the medication for irregular heartbeats. Up to 40 hospital patients may have died from Digoxin use, according to Cullen, who claimed that he continued to use the medicine and dose hospital patients until he was caught in the middle of 2003.

Links between the murders and Cullen's "miserable" upbringing were mentioned, and he claimed hospitals were suspicious of his involvement in the killings but did not pursue legal action. A string of apparent medical errors that resulted in the fatal Digoxin doses allowed the now 62-year-old to escape legal prosecution, as reported by Infobae

One of the most prolific serial killers in American history, Cullen, was finally convicted of his crimes with the intervention of his old friend Amy Loughren. 'The Good Nurse', a Netflix original written drama that debuted on October 26, 2022, was based on Charles Graeber's best-selling 2013 novel, which featured Cullen as its central character. Jessica Chastain played Loughren, and Eddie Redmayne played Cullen.
