Helena Christensen strips down to strapless black swimsuit for dip in lake to celebrate 54th birthday
COPENHAGEN, DENMARK: Helena Christensen, who turned 54 on Christmas day, December 25, 2022, was seen taking a splash into the chilly waters of Denmark in a black swimsuit to celebrate the occasion. The supermodel shocked her fans as she bravely stripped off her pink dress for an impromptu swim in the breathtakingly cold lake.
The Danish beauty captured the fun birthday moment and shared it with her one million Instagram followers on Monday, December 26. In the video, the mother-of-one is initially seen wearing a long satin pink dress as she peered over a harbor. The birthday dress did stay on for long as Christensen quickly took it off, only to reveal a black strapless one-piece with gold and pink stripes. Her hair was kept in a neat bun letting her fringes cover her forehead while she wore a red shade on her lips. The model was not struggling at all and looked extremely happy as she lept down the steps of a ladder, leading her into the freezing lake.

Christensen donned a constant smile as she immersed herself completely in the chilly waters of her native Denmark. "Merry birthday to me another dip around the sun," she captioned her birthday post.
The model followed the Scandi tradition in 2021 as well as she was seen happily dipping into the freezing water and enjoying it while at it. She captioned her post, "Even though I’m born on Christmas Day I unfortunately can’t walk on water."
The eccentric model emphasized the importance of variety while speaking about her workout regime with the DailyMail in 2019. "I think it’s important to shake it up and do as many different forms of workout as possible, but also to incorporate nature into them," she said, adding, "Swim in the ocean, swim in rivers, swim in lakes. Hiking, trekking, chopping wood – it’s the best way of working out because it doesn’t really feel like a workout. It feels like you’re alive."
In 2017, Christensen spoke about her favorite foods with Harper’s Bazaar UK. "I could eat pasta every night, with tons of parmesan or a few white truffles thrown in," the star admitted. Japanese food is another one of her top favorites "I always think I’m eating so clean… before I order a hundred different options!" she noted, adding, "I adore my mother’s Peruvian food, which I grew up with, too, and of course, Danish cuisine."
