Ann Wilson trolled for 'The Star-Spangled Banner' at NFL Draft: 'She made Fergie's national anthem sound good'
'Heart' singer Ann Wilson is getting some interesting reactions from social media users as she started trending after her NFL national anthem performance. Deemed as the member of the first hard rock band, Heart, Ann Wilson is loved and praised by many but even they can't overlook this national anthem performance. Some viewers were of the opinion that she "butchered" the national anthem and even sounded like Roseanne Barr.
On April 29, the 70-year-old Rock singer took to the stage to perform the national anthem wearing a Black sparkling dress paired with an NFL Draft jacket. The 'Magic Man' crooner chose to take the 'rockesque' route to perform the anthem.

'Ann Wilson could’ve stayed home too'
Anne Wilson is getting trolled for her rendition of the national anthem as a user quipped, "Ann Wilson just made Fergie’s national anthem sound good," referring to 2018's national anthem performance by Fergie which was also slammed on social media for the song's 'awkward' rendition. Another user shared, "I just watched it. Ann Wilson has a beautiful voice, but her high notes were not so great. I don’t think she did terrible, but she can’t hit some notes. She added a rock vibe to it."
A fan shared, "I love Ann Wilson, but her singing of the National Anthem was kinda meh." Another chimed in saying, "Ann Wilson and Fergie pointing at who sang the National Anthem worse like." One said, "OMG Ann Wilson just butchered the National Anthem at the NFL draft she sounded like Roseanne Barr." One said, "Ann Wilson with the worst anthem performance since Fergie at the All-Star game." One more said, "Ann Wilson could’ve stayed home too."

While Wilson was trolled ruthlessly, there were viewers who also felt nostalgic at her stage performance. Some of them took to Twitter to share that Wilson will remain a "rock royalty". A user said, "Ann Wilson is rock royalty," and another said, "@AnnWilson was a fantastic choice for the national anthem @NFL now let Heart play the super bowl next year that would be awesome." A fan defended the singer saying, "I think the people knocking Ann Wilson's National Anthem have never listened to Ann Wilson and Heart. She is still classic Ann Wilson."

Though the rock queen from the '70s was seen on the NFL stage, Heart is currently not working on new music.
