'He kept them under lock and key': Holly Guess' mom claims daughter was 'fooled' by Jesse McFadden's charms
HENRYETTA, OKLAHOMA: Janette Mayo, Holly Guess' mother, said the family was kept "under lock and key" by her daughter's husband, Jesse McFadden, and always had to keep him informed about their whereabouts. She revealed that although his controlling behavior had always been alarming, the family was unaware of his criminal past until a few months ago.
McFadden was a convicted rapist. He was reportedly given a 20-year sentence for a 2004 first-degree rape charge in Pittsburg County, as per the Oklahoma Department of Corrections. He was accused of exchanging nude photos and videos with an underage girl from the Jess Dunn Correctional Center. He was charged with soliciting sexual communications with a minor and possession/distribution of juvenile content. He was released from prison on October 30, four years earlier than he was supposed to.

Who was Holly Guess?
Holly Guess, 35, McFadden's wife, was a licensed insurance sales agent at American Income Life Insurance Company who lived in Henryetta, Oklahoma. Originally from El Paso, Texas, she was a devoted mother and wife. Holly, her three teenage children, Rylee Elizabeth Allen, 17, Michael James Mayo, 15, and Tiffany Dore Guess, 13, and two missing teenagers Ivy Webster, and Brittany Brewer along with convicted rapist McFadden were all found dead in a rural Oklahoma property on Monday morning, May 1.
'He lied to my daughter'
"(McFadden) lied to my daughter, and he convinced her it was all just a huge mistake," Holly's mother Janette Mayo, 59, said in a telephone interview Tuesday morning, per Huffpost. "He was very demure. He was very standoffish, generally very quiet, but he kept my daughter and the kids basically under lock and key. He had to know where they were at all times, which sent red flags up."
The victims were reportedly shot to death
According to Mayo, she was notified Monday evening that her daughter and her grandchildren were among the victims. Mayo revealed that Tiffany was close friends with the two visiting teens, Webster and Brewer, who were also staying with the family over the weekend. Although the Sheriff's office did not give any specifics about the cause of death, Mayo said she was informed that her daughter and grandchildren were all found shot to death on the property.
'He took my world from me'
Earlier, Mayo wrote on Facebook, "My daughter loved her children and yes she married the man who killed them but she was fooled by his charm." "He took my world from me," wrote the devastated woman. "I have a hole in my heart that he created by his actions Jesse McFadden was a monster for his actions."
A GoFundMe has been set up for one of the victims, Brittany Brewer. "Please assist the Brewer family with the funeral expenses. This is undoubtedly one of the most difficult times they will ever experience and they need to be focused on their healing instead of worrying about how they are going to pay for Brittany’s funeral," the page reads. As of now, $1,705 has been raised from the $10,000 goal.
