HBO's The Deuce hits an all-time low rating after news of third season renewal

Views have plummeted for HBO's porn saga right after producer David Simon announced a season renewal on Twitter. Should they take it as a hint?
PUBLISHED SEP 27, 2018

Just last week HBO announced it would be bringing back its porn saga 'The Deuce' for a third season. Producer David Simon took to Twitter to announce the news. "We're always conjuring the last scene before we write the first. So much the better when we work for people who allow us to consistently plan, arc and execute as intended," he said before thanking the network for letting them stay. "Thanks, @HBO, for the third and final season renewal and the chance for #thedeuce to tell its full story." Sadly, soon after the announcement, views for the show plummeted landing at a meager 0.1 rating with only 585,000 viewers. That begs the question, do the fans of the show even want it back? Are HBO and 'The Deuce' team milking a dead cow?
