'Game of Thrones' has given us so many strong male characters that it's become hard to keep track of them, not that it really matters though, George R. R. Martin will still find a way to kill them off.
Which is why we focus today on some of the strong female characters who grace this show. Though they may not stay in an ideal world, some of the women of the 'Game of Thrones' seem to keep it together a hell of a lot better than their male counterparts.

Cersei Lannister
Say what you want about Cersei, but the Queen of the Seven Kingdoms, no matter how ruthless, is the first character on our list for a reason. Cersei is the most manipulative person we've seen on 'GOT', and she's just a character that fans love to hate. Her scheming and manipulations are only done in order to protect her children, and she's known to say "I will do things for my family you couldn't imagine". It's true, while we may hate the usurping Queen, she is a good, albeit a little overprotective, mother to her children, and would destroy anyone in the way of her or her family, even destroying complete citadels in order to exact her revenge. An let's not forget that she's currently sitting on the Iron Throne, making her one of the most powerful characters in 'GOT'.

Arya Stark
Little Arya has come a long way from messing up her brother's archery practice in season 1 to now being a full-fledged assassin trained by the faceless men. Arya couldn't care less about what people thought of her, and her aim is not to be a Lady of Winterfell like her sister Sansa, but an assassin. Arya had to escape Winterfell when she was young, and for her to survive all this time, shows that the little assassin is not to be trifled with, lest you face the wrath of Needle!

Brienne of Tarth
Brienne of Tarth may definitely not be your average lady, and the warrior woman has proved herself time and again throughout the series as one of the best fighters in the 'GOT' realm and we love Brienne because she's the perfect blend of warrior and vulnerability. Doing away with stereotypes of what a proper lady should be, Brienne wears her armor and wields her sword better than any male knight who has the misfortune to challenge her, and Sandor Clegane aka the Hound, got the absolute snot knocked out of him in the season 4 finale. Not only is Brienne physically strong, but she also values honor and righteousness above all, and will do anything to protect those who need her. And let's not forget that she defeated a bear in combat as well!

Yara Greyjoy
Who can ever forget Yara? Yara is one of the few characters who was open about being gay on the show, and she has been a loyal daughter to Balon Greyjoy, self-proclaimed King of the Iron Islands, and a loving and protective (if a little-exasperated) sister to Theon Greyjoy. Her prowess in the fields of battle has earned her the respect of her father's men, and ever since her brother's "accident" and her father's death, Yara's taken up the mantle of Queen of the Iron Islands. While it may be hard for the men of 'GOT' to see a female in a position of power, Yara proves her mettle and is well-respected by her army and followers.

Lyanna Mormont
We've saved the best for last, and the 10-year-old Lyanna is definitely the best. Fans still remember her commanding presence at the congregation with the Northern Houses who were apprehensive to back Jon Snow in war, even after he proved himself in battle, and all the grown men in the room were put to shame by this pre-teen. Lyanna is the Head of House Mormont, and she takes her role as a leader very seriously. Her sharpness and the truth she hurls at the older cowards shows the level of wisdom in this kid. We'll even provide her the step-ladder to sit on the Iron Throne, she deserves it more than any blood-thirsty house, and we're sure she would rule it wisely.
'Game of Thrones' will air its final chapter on 14 April, only on HBO.
