A YORKSHIRE RIPPER: The strange case of Amber Heard's missing dog
Amber Heard has found herself in the midst of controversy yet again, but this time it has got nothing to do with her former husband, actor Johnny Depp. The former spouses were locked in a high-profile legal battle for weeks, which ended with the jury ruling in Depp's favor.
As per a spokesman for Australia's Department of Agriculture, Water, and Environment, the 36-year-old actress is being investigated by the authorities for the 2015 illegal importation of her two dogs. Meanwhile, television host Cooper Lawrence has sparked rumors after stating that she believes Heard's Yorkshire Terrier named Boo has gone missing.

During a discussion with Sunrise on Thursday, July 7, Lawrence talked about Heard's 2015 Australia visit where she allegedly didn't abide by the biosecurity laws, reports Daily Mail. As per sources, Heard did not declare her two dogs, Pistol and Boo, and arrived in the country without presenting the pertinent documents for the registration of the pets.
The host feels that Heard's dog Boo has gone missing after the trip since she hasn't posted anything about the pet on her Instagram since 2020. "She got custody of Pistol and Boo [after splitting from Depp] and... I did a really deep dive into her Instagram and I found that Boo is nowhere to be found," said Lawrence. "Pistol is all over her Instagram, so Pistol is around. Johnny Depp doesn't have those dogs right now," she added.

"According to the Australian Department of Agriculture, Water, and Environment, all dogs and cats coming from the United States or the United Kingdom require an import permit to bring them to Australia, since both are classified in group 3 of biosecurity and trade, which recognizes that they are countries or territories where the rabies disease is absent or well-controlled, although they need a certificate to enter the country," reports Marca.

Heard's dogs had reportedly failed to follow a strict 10-day pet quarantine before arriving in Australia. She blamed this on her ignorance and lack of sleep and managed to escape charges. However, she had to issue a public apology and pay a fine amounting to $7,650. The case was reopened after new information suggested that Heard committed perjury.
