'Harlem' : 5 things you need to know about actress Meagan Good

Amazon's Prime Video is bringing to audiences a brand new comedy series that will have four friends deal with love, life, and all that it brings with it with style and sass. 'Harlem' will be set in the iconic neighborhood of Harlem with the show looking to be very vibrant.

The Prime Video is produced by 13 time Grammy award winner Pharell Williams and will also have the brilliant Whoopi Goldberg as a recurring guest as well. Ahead of its much-awaited release have a look at the cast of the comedy set to showcase black excellence in full blast.

Meagan Good as Camille

Meagan Good is an American model and actress who entered the entertainment pool as the young get of 4. The early stages in her career saw her work as an extra on shows like 's Doogie Howser' and 'Amen'. Her other projects include ' Biker Boyz ', ' Deliver Us from Eva', 'Venom' (2005), 'Think Like a Man' and more. Apart from film and television, she has also appeared in music videos for Imajin, 50 Cent, Will Smith, and more.

Good is married to  DeVon Franklin and is a Christian who's very into spiritualism. She will be portraying one of the leads Camille who is a young anthropology professor at Columbia in the upcoming Prime comedy 'Harlem'.



 

Grace Byers as Quinn

Grace Byers is an American actress who made her foray into acting in 2012. Born in Pennsylvania she was raised in the Cayman Islands but moved back to the United States to study Theatre Arts and acquired a degree for the same as well as a master’s in Fine Arts in acting. She then went to partake in off-Broadway productions of 'Venus Flytrap: A Femme Noir Mystery', and Rent. She is most popularly known for her role as Anika Calhoun in Fox's drama series 'Empire'. Her starring in the show was also where she met her co-star and later husband Trai Byers.

Having deaf parents the actress was bullied as a child but rose above it to pen a children's book titled 'I Am Enough', that is based on her experience, with the goal to empower kids to love and accept themselves. She will next be seen as one of the leads Quinn, a trust fund fashion designer in Prime Video's 'Harlem'.

The series also stars Shoniqua Shandai as Angie, Jerrie Johnson as Tye, and Tyler Lepley as Ian.  Additional recurring guest stars include Whoopi Goldberg as Dr Elise Pruitt, Jasmine Guy as Patricia, Andrea Martin as Robin, Robert Ri’chard as Shawn, Juani Feliz as “Isabela, Kate Rockwell as Ana, and Sullivan Jones as Jameson.

'Harlem' is set to release on December 3, 2021. You can watch it exclusively on Prime Video.
