'Jackie': Release date, cast, trailer and all the details about Rob Delaney's comedy special on Amazon Prime

Avalon Television has released a trailer for the upcoming special, where Delaney talks about weight gain, his children, and his extremely low standards for soda.

Fresh off of the hit comedy series 'Catastrophe,' comedian Rob Delaney is set to take to the stage in a stand-up comedy special for Amazon Prime. Titled 'Jackie,' the special will be directed by Barbara Wiltshire, in a show that's been called "deliriously funny" by the New York Times. 

Release Date

'Jackie' is set to release on Amazon Prime on January 17.

The show is written and performed by Rob Delaney.

Rob Delaney is a well-known actor and comedian, known for his roles in 'Catastrophe', 'Deadpool 2' and 'Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw'. He's also a writer, having written and produced his show, 'Catastrophe,' which ran for four seasons. His most recent role was on the hit movie 'Bombshell,' where he played the role of Gil Norman. He is also a part of the untitled 'Home Alone' reboot, which is still in the pre-production stage. 

Director

The show is directed by Barbara Wiltshire, a prolific director who has worked on several British panel shows such as 'Would I Lie to You' and '8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.'

Avalon Television has released a trailer for the upcoming special, where Delaney talks about weight gain, his children, and his extremely low standards for soda. The trailer is interspersed with snippets of reviews from papers as The Guardian and the New York Times. Rob Delaney brings out the crassness of the every day, and the mundane. 



 

The standup special has received many reviews, from the Guardian, the New York Times, and the AV Club. Response to the show has been generally positive, with the AV Club praising Rob Delaney's expansive storytelling style told in his trademark charismatic brashness.
