Hannah Johnson: Kentucky woman, 29, arrested on FIFTY-TWO charges in child porn probe including sexual abuse and incest
MCLEAN COUNTY, KENTUCKY: According to Kentucky State Police, a woman from McLean County, Kentucky, is in jail on numerous counts connected to an online investigation into child porn. As per KSP, a probe by the Electronic Crime Branch led to the arrest of Hannah Johnson, 29, on 52 separate charges. These allegations, according to them, include possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor under the age of 12, sexual abuse, and promoting a minor under 16 in a sexual performance.
KSP claims that the Electronic Crime Branch's probe got going after Johnson was discovered posting online examples of child exploitation. This inquiry resulted in a search warrant being obtained for a Livermore residence on Monday, where tools used to commit the crime were found and taken in for analysis, according to KSP. The investigation is continuing, and Johnson is being held in the Muhlenberg County Jail, reports WEVV.

What are the charges Hannah Johnson faces?
Johnson is currently charged with thirty counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor – under 12, one count of sexual abuse 1st degree – victim under 12, twenty counts of promoting a minor under 16 in a sexual performance, and one count of incest – incapable of consent. She was arrested and booked in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center, as per reports.
What sentences do her charges carry in Kentucky?
Child pornography is forbidden by both state and federal legislation. A number of statutes prohibit the production, ownership, distribution, and promotion of media that features minors engaging in sexual acts. If the minor is less than 18 years old it is classified as a Class C felony, If the minor is less than 16 years old, it is a Class B felony, and if the minor sustains physical injury: Class A felony, as per Find Law. In Johnson's case, the penalty comes under a Class C felony which can result in a prison term of 5 to 10 years. Incest is a Class B felony if it is carried out by forcible compulsion or on a victim less than 18 years old and incapable of consenting due to physical incapacity or mental incapacity. The Class-B felony is punishable by ten to twenty years in prison, as per Kentucky.gov.
In another incident, a Kentucky man was convicted in connection with his possession of nearly 750,000 child pornographic images, which he had tried to conceal in hollow containers disguised as books. A federal jury found Ashland resident Adam F. Childers, 70, guilty of possessing and distributing child pornography on Friday, January 13. Childers was arrested in October 2020.
Court records say Childers had "hundreds of thousands of images and videos of child pornography, [including] depictions of minors under the age of 12 engaged in sexually explicit activity." Childers will be given a sentence on May 8 and could spend up to 20 years behind bars for each count of conviction, as reported by WOWK 13.
