Hailey reveals she first kissed Justin Bieber on secret sushi date, spills the beans on how they fell in love
Model Hailey Baldwin recently shared the story of the first kiss she shared with Justin Bieber, stating it happened when they went out for dinner together. Baldwin revealed the details during the latest episode of their Facebook Watch series, 'The Biebers on Watch'.
"The first time we kissed, we were in New York and we had gone to dinner together," Baldwin recalled. "We were just hanging and we went back to watch a movie and we kissed". Baldwin added that their date had to be in secret because the model, who was 17 at the time, was not permitted to go out.
"He asked me to go get sushi with him and I called my parents to ask them if I could go and they said no," she revealed. "They were like ‘Absolutely not, you’re not going to hang out with Justin by yourself, that’s not happening'," she said, adding that it was her older sister Alaia who helped her sneak out to meet Bieber.
"My older sister kind of covered for me and was like, ‘Oh yeah, she’s gonna sleep over at my apartment and it’s all good,’" she shared on the segment. "She covered for me and we went to dinner and didn’t get caught."
Bieber, 26, and Balwin got engaged in July 2018 in the Bahamas and got married just two months later in a secret courthouse ceremony in New York. They eventually celebrated their marriage again, in September 2019, with their family and friends in South Carolina, according to reports.
The pair, before dating each other, were friends for many years and even separated sat one point before they rekindled their romance in 2018 summer. The couple, during the May 22 episode of 'Biebers on Watch', also discussed the moment when they realized that they loved each other.
"I remember the first time you said you were in love with me, but I don't remember when I was like, ‘Oh yeah he’s the one for sure,’" Baldwin said addressing the singer.
Bieber replied saying: "I think just time, being around each other... I just started realizing more and more qualities I liked about you and more things that were just so endearing." He later added: "I think I said, ‘I think I’m falling in love with you.’"
Baldwin, however, said that she was more hesitant to admit her feelings for Bieber. "I also think that I was really stubborn,” she shared. “I would never admit to his face that I was in love with him until it was obvious."
The Canadian singer was also asked on the show whether he would change anything about his life if he could go back in time. To which Bieber replied, saying that he did not regret anything except for one. "If I could go back and not have to face some of the bad hurt that I went through... yeah, I probably would've saved myself for marriage." The singer made the revelation alongside his wife, saying it "probably sounds crazy" to others.
