Beauty queen fired from Putin’s national guard because female troops were ‘jealous' of her sexy bikini snaps
A Russian beauty queen and member of the national guard has been removed from her position on Putin's personal army allegedly due to "jealous" colleagues. 32-year-old Anna Khramtsova emerged victorious at a national beauty contest last year, beating over a thousand contenders. However, the mother-of-one has since been fired, seemingly for sharing a video that revealed the inside of the service's premises where she worked, The Sun reported.
Khramtsova, who previously claimed to be a victim of sexism in the national guard, has now claimed she faced "envy" from her female colleagues in the Russian government's internal military force.
The video that led to her being ousted from the job reportedly showed a disinfection operation underway, and has since been taken down. But according to the gun-toting bombshell, revealing footage and photoshoots showing her love of bikini fitness competitions may have caused some women in the force to become jealous and, in turn, resulted in her exit. "I was fired because they needed it, I crossed… someone,” Khramtsova told Govorit Moskva radio. “The reason for my dismissal was trifling, filming an administrative building during disinfection in order to raise the spirits.”
The fitness enthusiast said that only a "narrow circle of people" even saw the video in her home city of Yekaterinburg. “After the contest, I got more envy, they learned about my hobby, my sports, so they got ready to kick me out from the service,” she said. “Now they have done it."
Nonetheless, Khramtsova suggested she would appeal the decision. "In the near future, I will decide what to do next. But I just won't leave it like this,” she said.
Speaking to E1 media, Khramtsova said her win as Miss National Guard had caused many servicewomen to "recoil from me." "I am very proud of this victory,” she said. “Some congratulated me, some showed envy. Male colleagues congratulated, wrote a lot, some tried to meet me personally. Such a wave of popularity was very pleasant. But many women in the service even stopped greeting me.”
She said her “lady colleagues hardly talked to me” after her bikini fitness contests became known to them. “I don't know why they reacted so sharply to this. So I go on stage in a bikini - for some, it's a swimsuit, but for me, this is a stage costume and nothing more," she said, adding, “Apparently, they envy me."
Speaking to the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper, an unnamed source in the 340,000-strong guard put together by Putin said that the video had breached rules. "Khramtsova showed the closed premises of the Russian Guard troops. It is unacceptable," the insider said.
Meanwhile, a spokesman for the force noted how complying with conditions of service "is mandatory for all personnel and implies the personal responsibility of the employee." However, Khramtsova claimed that following her win last year, she was subjected to “those old jokes about blondes in service, but I ignore them - and just serve stylishly”.
Anna Khramtsova comes from a military and law enforcement family. Her father reportedly served in the army and police for over three decades and her mother is also a servicewoman. “I am proud to continue the dynasty,” Khramtsova told the outlet.
